Our main course was charged €5 and the beer, €1 more, which is 33%. We noted that the adjouning table who were tourists too had the same issue. In addition, they were even charged an extra bottle of water. Cover charge was €3 per person, which was on the high side. Although they said the price on the menu was not correct but they readily changed the bill without hassle They kept being friendly on our way out.

One the other hand, we must admitted that their grilled sea food was better than what we had elsewhere in the week so far.

During the week in Catania, we noted many tourists checked bills. We had one similar experience in another restaurant but he immediatel changed the bill before we questioned it. Perhaps over charging tourist might be a norm.

The waiters seemed to speak English, but once they found out we are not Italian, they neglicted us completely. We came quite early (20:00) so the restaurant was still quite empty, but they did not bother to offer us starters or even wine. We were looking for a nice evening with lot of new food experience, but they hurried us into ordering main courses right away and then they did not bother to even come to our table anymore. As I say, we were not offered even wine! I have ordered quite pricy fresh fish in hope to turn the tide, but no. And the fish arrived not even cleaned properly, as it still had residue of guts inside!!! I assume they have bad experience with foreigners, as they were running around all Italian guests. This place had a great atmosphere very nice on her. You can pick your own fresh fish. The fish was excellent and I recommended black Seabass it’s about 1 kg he’ll throw in a few shrimp with that and I’ll cook it in a tomato sauce and I’ll bake it. It’s Sicilian style and how specialty. I highly recommend this place with great food great ambience and great service. The wine was four dollars a glass which was an added bonus and obviously there’s just a bread free but no service charge.
