Al Tortellino — Restaurant in Catania

The restaurant was clean upon our arrival and we were quickly helped with directions on how to order at the counter or sit down at a table with menus. We opted for the sit-down treatment and were helped out by an older gentleman who immediately took drink orders and came back in a good amount of time for food orders. We got the tortellini ragu and the diavola pizza. The pizza was delicious and well-seasoned with a more dense crust. I prefer my pizza to be more airy, but that isn’t a negative for everyone, and all other aspects of the pizza were delicious to me. This was easily the best pasta we had in all our 10 days visiting Sicily! The Ragu is insanely good. And so cheap too.

After trying it on the Tuesday, we decided to go back the very next day. As its only open until 3pm me and my girlfriend decided to go and buy some pasta dishes to take away for dinner that evening, unfortunately upon arrival at 10am there wasn't any pasta in the range. Very good pizze with taste and huge quantities for few bucks! The pasta was a little two soft and not enough baked and floured like I like it. But tasted great anyway.

One pizza is enough for two "normal" appetites.

The restaurant is fast food look alike but it is a good pizzeria.

We took a Calzone and a normal one and the size was impressive. We took the leftover in a box for the next day (half of each).
