I had already been to this restaurant once before and I was really amazed and loved the freshness and originality of the food. The staff are polite and interact well with clients, making sure to satisfy their every need. The owner, il signor Filippo goes the extra mile to make you relax and guides you well around the food on offer. I actually visited this restaurant twice during my short stay in Catania. First time round, I had the pumpkin risotto and Catanese seabass washed down by an excellent Negroni and slightly effervescent Ferrarelle water. All delicious and well presented. My travel companion opted for guanciale bruscetta and an awesome rich fish soup.
The second time, following Filippo's advice, I went for the busiate with artichoke and bacon and was chuffed. My main course was a squid gratine, also excellent. My friend had a fantastic home made caponata and a generous mixed grill of fish.
I should be returning to Catania in October. I find this city underrated and unloved by who should love it most. However Filippo and his team take pride in what they do. Everything is cooked with love and spoken about with passion. These are the things I look for in a restaurant. Well Done Signor Filippo, Domenico and the rest of the staff...

Read moreVisited Be Quiet for dinner because of its location, reviews, and gluten free selections. We did not have reservations (on a Saturday night!), but the owner politely seated us in what looked like the last table he had inside! (If going after 7:30PM on a weekend-- make a reservation). The restaurant has outside and inside seating -- but in December the weather is a bit too chilly for us to eat outside.
The waiter, Daniel, was fabulous. On our first night, we wanted some guidance-- wine, food. He gave us a fabulous Nero D'Avola and guided our meal. We ordered a salad and the famous Pasta Norma! Delicious.
Because of the great experience, we visited again during our stay in Catania. The second time was even better! We had gluten free fried calamari and a very tasty meat dish. We recommended Be Quiet to our other friends who were extending their time in Catania. If we ever visit Catania, we will definitely return again. Thank you for the...
