This place was recommended by our AirBnB host, Salvatore, and it surpassed all our expectations. It was brilliant and possibly the best food we had on the island. We ordered the octopus/potato starter and the flavours were so fresh and well seasoned. We also ordered the lobster pasta (everything on this plate was SO fresh!) and stuffed/breaded meat which I’m still craving for, like 4 days after 😂 Nothing has matched up since and we don’t think it will. Dessert of the day was a lemon flavoured cake with coconut shavings and a raspberry compote, light and sublime way to end the meal.

We were also served bread and there was no cover charge. Service was prompt and friendly. Their house wines were divine, light and paired wonderfully with the food ordered. The location being by the sea was beautiful, and we were dining with the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. I bet it is beautiful in the daytime or even at sunset. Total spend was €88 which was extremely well worth it.

I’m probably willing to travel well over 15 hours from Singapore to eat at this place again, and I hope I get to return to this wonderful...

We visited Cefalú on a very hot day and upon arrival decided to grab lunch before hitting the beach. We opted for Lo Scoglio Ubriaco as it had favorable reviews and all in all we were not disappointed. They sat us on the terrace despite not technically opening for another 5 minutes and the host took our order almost immediately. The terrace is amazing and offers beautiful views of the sea and the rocky coastline. The food was okay, my steak was overcooked but not too badly. The seafood was very fresh and cooked and cleaned well. The service was not the worst we have had but also could definitely improve thus I can't give them a full 5 stars as we had to flag a waiter down to reorder our desserts that we had originally ordered with the rest of our meal but was seemingly forgotten despite being the first table in the restaurant for lunch and there being only 5 other groups there. We assume the person sitting at a nearby table and yelling at the staff at full volume was the owner which was off putting to say the least. We likely would return here for the terrace but probably...

After 15 days traveling across Sicily and trying countless restaurants, this was by far the best meal we had. I’ve ordered calamari so many times on this trip, and every single time it was rubbery and overcooked. Pasta is often served practically raw in the name of “al dente,” and fish is rarely cooked properly. Honestly, the much-hyped Sicilian cuisine has been a huge disappointment — until we found this restaurant.

Finally, someone who knows how to cook! This place could give a masterclass to the rest of Sicily on how to prepare seafood and pasta. The calamari was tender and perfectly grilled, the whole sea bass was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was the perfect texture — not raw, but true al dente.

We didn’t try the pizza, but the ones going to nearby tables looked absolutely delicious — crispy crust, fresh toppings, beautifully done. I highly recommend the calamari and the whole sea bass.

This was the only restaurant on our entire trip that truly satisfied us. It single-handedly saved our Sicilian experience and made us feel like coming to Italy was worth...

Eccellente.
