Ristorante Kentia al Trappitu — Restaurant in Cefalù

Stopped in for lunch today only to be taken advantage of by the manager! He knew we were foreigners, we ordered a simple lunch of mussels soup and we split a pizza and he was supposed to bring a simple bottle of Sicilian wine Nero Davola, nothing special it was only lunch. Waiter arrives with a bottle of wine opens and pours it ...the wine was less than average but we drank it just the same, he never informed us of the price ... now a bottle of Sicilian Nero Davola is usually no more than €20.00 tops.. mussels arrived they were fine pizza arrived stone cold and the bill for the wine was €45.00 !!! A complete and utter rip off when we complained to the waiter.. he said there was nothing he could do and convently the manager was know where to be seen ...Our fault for not asking the price of the wine brought to the table their fault for not disclosing the price of the wine being brought to our table...we will avoid this restaurant from now I suggest you do too...plenty of better restaurants in Cefalu that don't...

Very nice place with beautiful outdoor dining room, tasty food but with extremely stressed staff just because of the bully-owner! I newer experienced such a terrible person running a restaurant! He is noisy, pushing poor guys to almost run through the restaurant carrying food and drinks, moving tables and chairs all the time… extremely unprofessional and extremely irritating for all guests. I actually asked one of the waiters why is so stressful atmosphere in the restaurant and he said “because of the boss, pace is important to get new guests in as fast as possible”. So, our fancy dinner was over in 45 min… check was coming, time to go. So shameful that our last dinner in Cefalu instead to be memorable experience in a beautiful restaurant end up sadly to be a terrible experience in the...

DON’T DO IT!!! Great view but that’s it!!! This restaurant was one of the worst I have ever been to. Just before we got our food our table was swarmed with flying bugs, which wasn’t their fault however I don’t think this was the first time. When we brought it to the waitress attention she said in a rude tone “this is just nature” and walked off. When our food came all the bugs were crawling in our food and in all the drinks, the wine that we ordered had bugs in it and after asking if we could have a new one they gave us a different wine to the original and tried to tell us that it looks and tastes different because it’s a new bottle.

I’ve never experienced such rude and argumentative staff and the owner was even worse. We ended up leaving and found a beautiful steak restaurant with amazing...
