Not a 4 stars worth. Besides the fact that the staff in the kitchen were really nice and the food was good, the staff at the reception was not that welcoming. When we arrived, we were roughly welcomed and our keys were given to us. The room was really really small for what we paid. Not to forget that we paid a supplement to have a partial view on the lake. Be ready because you can have the partial view on the street which we got. In the middle of night you will hear definitely between 10 and 15 times cars honking their horns as the street is on a bend. Furthermore, the hotel was given a wedding in the restaurant which has a view on the swimming pool. As you can imagine, we weren’t even informed that there was a wedding going on, we discovered it while we wanted to go to the pool and realized that you have really loud music going on and people staring at you while you try to rest during your holidays at the pool. If you want to have a silent room I wouldn’t recommend this hotel because I heard everything what my neighbors were doing (toilet flush, kids screaming, yelling, crying, door slapping…). The view of the hotel is amazing but I think that the rest can be on the same level as the view when you have a 4 stars hotel. Ps: when we left the hotel, no words were coming from the staff at the reception, we paid and left. Not even an “did you enjoy your stay ? Was everything going good ? Sorry for all the noise last night from the wedding ?” Disappointing… also, we wanted to get some water as it was like 37 degrees outside, even for that you will...
Read moreI stayed at Hotel Asnigo for two nights whilst I was attending a wedding that was taking place at Lake Como. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is on the smaller more intimate side, with great views of Lake Como from both the restaurant as well as the pool area. The pool area is on the smaller and more intimate side, so do not expect a resort-style experience. ||||What stood out to me most were the staff — they were nothing short of excellent. The level of assistance and warm service I experienced was top-notch. From reception, to housekeeping, to food & beverage — it was clear that all the staff were genuinely happy and willing to help and be there for the guests. I had a standard room with lake view which was on the cozier side. It is perhaps a little outdated in terms of technology. But that was totally ok. It was simple, but functional and very clean. ||||The hotel is about a 10 min walk from the Cernobbio center and a 20-minute walk back up the hill. From Cernobbio, water taxis leave every 30 minutes towards other areas of Lake Como, including Como center itself. They are cheap, easy, and fun to take. Note: As of the time of this review, FFP2 masks are still mandatory on the water taxis. ||||To conclude, I had a great stay here and whilst I would not stay at the Hotel for a relaxation holiday due to the location on the hill and limited pool, bar, entertainment offers, it is great for a short, active stay when...
