Ristorante da Spadone — Restaurant in Cetara

We spent a night close to Cetara by chance, we didnt know how lovely and (in comparison) untouristic this little fisher village was. We fell in love!

Our host for the night recommended a few restaurants and we decided to go to this one for dinner, since the fish was supposed to be very good. We were not disappointed!

First of all the charming waitress (the owner?) was very charismatic and helped us to chose our menue with passion and made us feel very welcomed. She also showed us a plate of different fresh fish from which to chose. I am more the seafood person, my partner the fish person, but the presentation of the fresh fish made me curious as well... she recommended us as a starter spaghetthi vongole for both of us and we chose a whole fish in a buttery tomato stew to share as a second course.

It was the best fish we ate all week long! And compared to other places we ate along the amalfi coast with a very reasonable price.

We thank you very much for the pleasant experience! We are planning on coming back on...

Scortesia e mancanza assoluta di garbo e attenzione nei nostri confronti. Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per 4 all'interno del locale. Al nostro arrivo il tavolo era occupato da altre persone che poi abbiamo appreso essere amici del titolare del locale. Ci hanno fatto sedere all'esterno in un tavolo per 2 senza neanche chiederci scusa. Abbiamo ordinato da mangiare, dopo 1 ora e mezza ancora eravamo in attesa. Ad un certo punto ci siamo informati cortesemente se c'era molto da aspettare. Le risposte erano evasive, sgarbate e date sempre di corsa. Nessuno di loro si è avvicinato al nostro tavolo e spiegato il perché di tanto ritardo...avremmo sicuramente compreso. Intanto è passato un'altra mezz'ora. Ad un certo punto resoci conto che venivamo totalmente ignorati abbiamo deciso di andarcene. È stato a quel punto che la signora con gli occhiali che prende le ordinazioni ai tavoli ci ha informato che stavano impiattando in nostri primi. Peccato che non erano destinati a noi perché non era quello che avevamo chiesto di mangiare. La cosa assurda è che hanno spiegato che in cucina si erano sbagliati anziché paccheri con scampi avevano calato linguine...! A noi semplicemente è apparso che i piatti erano destinati ad altro tavolo e per trattenerci hanno finto di essere i nostri. Comunque pessimi tutti. Alla fine avendo comunque deciso di andare via siamo andati alla cassa chiedendo di pagare il vino che tra l'altro abbiamo solo assaggiato perché attendavamo di degustarlo insieme alle pietanze... La signora di cui prima non ha esitato un solo attimo a presentarci lo scontrino senza mai chiederci scusa. Fare il ristoratore richiede una buona dose di gentilezza, competenza , professionalita' e cura verso i clienti che tra l'altro dovreste ringraziare visto che e' grazie a loro che lavorate. One of the best meals I had on my stay in Cetara. Upon arriving and looking at the menu we were presented with a selection of fresh fish caught in the day, including lobster which we chose without hesitation. They prepare it to your wishes and we chose to have it with linguine pasta. We knew it would cost more as it’s not on the menu and it set us back 50 euro, but it was totally worth the price and incredibly rich and delicious. The wine selection was also great. The resteraunt has a family run vibe and they were accommodating and spoke some English which was helpful....
