Bar Licone - Cogne (ao) — Restaurant in Cogne

Near the phenomenal view of Grand Paradiso you almost can't miss this bar at the corner of the long yard with it's welcoming terrace.

Of course, we've arrived too early for the pizza, which was our own fault not knowing that the dinner menue starts at 7pm. So, we've ordered a plate with various kinds of meat. Coppa, Speck, Parma, Salami and other slices paired with two kinds of cheese, sweet maroons and a confiture, together with some Grissini and slices of bread. This plate was ridiculously good and a great treat.

Being Germans we ordered coffee in the beginning, not knowing that you will get a Espresso. Which is usually drank at the end in Italy. So, the waitress, rolling her eyes, served us some good coffee (espresso) nonetheless.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and quaint.

We still have to try that pizza though next time...

This place is in Cogne centre and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The place is very clean and comfortable with friendly, welcoming staff. Efficiently run, enjoyable and providing tasty meals (risottos, pizzas & sweets). Nicely equipped bar ample choice of food. Very clean toilet. Reasonable prices with a good variety. Accessible for all. Open for lunch and dinner providing tasty snacks, meals, even pizzas....

We visited Bar Licone in December 2024. We often go to Cogne, but this was our first time there for lunch. There were five of us (three adults and two children). We had a really good time. The prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious. The pizza chef who runs the kitchen and makes the pizzas was excellent. Everything was great....
