Truth - Mixology & Kitchen — Restaurant in Conversano

My father had the Halloween special "scary burger" with beef, Gouda? And Bombette. He said it was one of the best burgers "for men" he'd ever had. The bombette was such a creative and nice twist on bacon and I can attest to the beef also being quite nice. I got the chicken burger, and I'm quite picky, but even I ate most of it. The salsa crispy was in my dad's words, like a really good Big Mac Sause. The chicken was breaded and I personally dislike that, but it was cooked very well. They also forgot the cetriolini/gerkins, but the sauce saved it by tasting enough like pickles

The bread was very fluffy and airy and grilled so even I found it pleasant The fries, and I don't usually like fries, were also great. They were sliced potatoes, clearly on the long way, in twists. Made them super nice and chrispy. We asked a server but he acknowledged that they got them like that, which is just fine. Gotta figure it out though, haha

Overall a super good experience for the money :D

We actually came here by chance because we got a bit too intimidated by how unexpectedly upscale our original plan looked when all we wanted was a nice, casual meal. Turned out a blessing in disguise as it got us here

The staff looked a bit pressed, a look I recognized from the restaurant I'm an apprentice chef at, and we got confirmation of later; the "were actually fully booked later so if these aren't quick to eat it'll be a problem"

Clearly a good cocktail and drinks place as well, blus gorgeous...

Esperienza ahimè negativa per diverse ragioni. Sabato sera abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per due, prenotazione che è stata probabilmente dimenticata visto l'imbarazzo generale dello staff al nostro arrivo (in orario). Fortunatamente hanno ripiegato sull'unico tavolino libero vicino alla porta della cucina, il quale ci è stato apparecchiato solo molto tempo dopo. Dopo l'ordinazione l'antipasto è arrivato abbastanza velocemente, tuttavia il piatto principale è arrivato 1h e 30 min dopo esserci accomodati poiché la nostra comanda, a detta del personale, era caduta sul pavimento. Uno dei due hamburger in questione era cotto male e mancante di alcuni ingredienti mentre l'altro era stato visibilmente preparato in fretta e in modo grossolano. Ovviamente non abbiamo rispedito indietro i piatti viste le tempistiche di attesa. Al tutto va aggiunto un disinteresse del personale nei nostri confronti a differenza delle attenzioni rivolte ad altri clienti. Probabilmente una serata sfortunata, ma sicuramente...

Recensione per LIE - Not the Truth

Partiamo dalle cose positive: Il cibo, così come la sede “originale”, resta di ottima qualità, e la nuova location, più elegante, intima e suggestiva, ne dà ulteriore valore. Locale promosso a pieni voti, eccezione fatta per il caldo.

Arriviamo però alle vere cose negative: non è possibile ordinare, ricevere subito da bere, aspettare 1h e ricevere solo allora la comunicazione che quanto ordinato non era più “in dispensa”. Alle 23 vuoi che vada ad ordinare un hamburger dopo tutta l’attesa fatta per due antipasti? Ci mancherebbe ed è comprensibile che il giorno no può capitare, ma bisogna cercare di porci rimedio in modo elegante. Il titolare era presente in sala, non ha avuto il minimo pensiero di venirsi a scusare a tavola o di “farsi perdonare” con un caffè/amaro o qualsiasi altra cosa… il gesto sarebbe stato apprezzato.

E guai a nascondersi dietro alla recente apertura, chi gestisce ha tanta, tanta esperienza… per cui il problema non è il locale...
