The food and the service are overrated as per the previous reviews. I ordered a calamari fritti and it came drenched in oil and not a single bit of crispness and not to mention the incredibly chewy taste. The pizzas my kids ordered were also soggy and nothing like a nice wood oven crisp pizza. To top all of this, my husband had ordered grilled scampi as a second course. We all finished our dinner had desert and his scampi were still not served. He finally gave up and told one of the waitresses that he doesn't want it anymore (after 40 minutes of waiting) and then a very rude older lady came and put the scampi in front of us and shouted that she is not playing games and that 40 minutes of waiting is not a problem more and more. We paid the bill and left but I would neither recommend this place for their food nor for their service. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating customers such...
Read moreUnfortunately we did not get a chance to try this restaurant, so this rating only applies to the experienced service and overall impression. Sorry, if the food is really good...: We checked out the restaurant before online and walked 30 minutes to enjoy dinner. Since we had no reservation, we had to wait outside, which was totally fine. After only 10 minutes we were placed by the hostess. After 30-40 min of patiently waiting we decided to leave. No waiter, there were 5 actively waiting/serving tables at our terrace section, stopped at our table. The two tables directly next to us were getting service multiple times. Neither eye contact, friendly gestures or a quick perdono helped. But as soon as we moved from our table to leave, they quickly checked if we paid...wow!
Please make sure to at least get the order, when new guests arrive. I understand the busy restaurant business, but this is...
Read moreFirst of all, we thought the food was perfectly fine. As others have already posted here, the real problem is the service. The waiters were a bit inattentive, but that didn't really bother us. What really annoyed me was the owner's behavior when paying: as is common in Italy, you pay at the exit and not at your table. The owner made me wait for several minutes with the bill in hand while he put new water bottles in the fridge. After that, neither a "ciao" nor "how was your meal," "thank you," not even a "goodbye." Not a single word! What was the problem? I have no idea. He didn't wait on us at our table. Maybe it was my shorts in his "fancy" restaurant? Maybe because I'm not Italian and barely speak Italian? But it fits with many of the other non-Italian reviews here. My suggestion: if you have a specific dress code or want Italian guests only, please write directly...
