Taverna La Botte — Restaurant in Cremona

I won’t speak of the food as I could not try it although my husband who is a local was there before and suggested we come. We arrived today Saturday at 13:45 there were some people before us so we lined up behind them. No one came to greet us or even say yes or no. I started to note two tables being cleared and customers leaving which was enough for the two sets of people before and then I noticed a couple finishing their coffee and getting ready to pay. Excited as I had with me my little 3 year old I asked one of the waiters if we could get a table she said oh that table is reserved but I’ll check. I said please ask your colleague with the pink hair ( that one had already dismissed my husband and seemed to be the manager ). I said no problem if that table is taken I can see the couple over there ready to leave. Then the waitress with the pink hair looked at me condescendingly and said no that table is reserved too. I said for when? We have a baby and we can eat quickly. She said at 2pm I said it’s already 13:57 and there is no one here and there are two empty tables. She said but 🥅 have to give people time. I stayed outside no one showed up. This lady is clearly in the absence of the owner lying to us because she does not want to work anymore today. She could have been honest and say I am under staffed or something. I will never come back. This is a terrible customer service . I don’t recommend. Sadly not the only place here in center of Cremona that dismisses people given the affluence of tourists they don’t really reflect the Italian generous...

Eating at this restaurant was an abysmal experience. The service was extremely poor; it was five minutes before I even got a menu. The wines by the glass were overpriced; the first glass wasn't even fresh, meaning it was clear the bottle had been open for days. The starter was mostly meat, and the fritatta and "pancake" were tiny. The meat was fine quality-wines, but the fritatta was rewarmed. The gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce had barely been exposed to gorgonzola. Worse, the gnocchi were not fresh. They tasted like freezer burn. The server tried to charge me two cover charges, even though I was alone. ...

Io e delle amiche abbiamo prenotato in questo locale per cena e l’esperienza é stata pessima. Una volta arrivate, ci sediamo e come prima cosa non ci é stato portato il menù o per lo meno chiesto che cosa volessimo, ma c’é stata tolta una delle 2 forchette presenti sulla tavola per “risparmiare sul lavaggio” a detta della signorina che ci ha servito (non avevamo ancora ordinato nulla che avevano già decretato che avremmo ordinato solo una portata). Arrivato il momento dell’ordinazione (erano le 21:00) ci dicono che avremmo dovuto ordinare subito il secondo poiché la cucina avrebbe chiuso alle 21:30 (nessuno in fase di prenotazione ci aveva avvisato della cosa, sarebbe stato gradito, dato che hanno accettato la prenotazione alle 21:00). Successivamente, ci portano la prima portata e va tutto bene finché non avevamo ancora finito di mangiare quasi, che la cameriera ci stava già portando via il piatto da sotto il naso. Inoltre, guardandoci attorno notiamo che ad altri clienti, arrivati dopo di noi, (nonostante fossero le 21:30 passate) é stata presa l’ordinazione del secondo e poco dopo servito. Invece, a noi sono stati proposti solo i dolci. Il cibo era anche buono, un po’ scarso nelle quantità, ma buono. Tuttavia, il servizio é stato terribile! Consiglio vivamente alla gestione di rivedere questo aspetto. É impensabile accettare prenotazioni alle 21:00 per poi mettere fretta ai clienti durante tutta la durata del pasto, quando il locale ha come orario di chiusura...
