Extremely Disappointing and Discriminatory Service Experience! 歧视亚洲人的餐厅，大家避坑！

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this restaurant tonight. I visited alone since my friend was sick, and the service I received was both rude and discriminatory. I waited at the designated spot where the sign says "Please wait here to be seated." Despite being clearly visible to the staff, no one acknowledged me—no greeting, no nod, nothing. The restaurant was mostly empty, with only the lakeside tables occupied, so there was no reason for this neglect.

There was only one staff member (middle-aged Italian male) handling both the cashier and seating duties. He saw me waiting but chose to ignore me and instead attended to guests who arrived after me, speaking to them in Italian and promptly seating them. While I understand they may have had a reservation, the basic courtesy of acknowledging my presence, greeting me and informing me of the situation was completely missing. Let along bring me the menu as I have been waiting there for over 10 minutes.

After being left waiting for some more time, I watched as the same staff member returned to the cashier and began assisting other customers to pay, who had also arrived after me, further ignoring me. This was not just bad service—it felt like blatant discrimination! As an Asian customer, I couldn't help but feel that I was being deliberately overlooked because of my race, or the fact that I came along so I am not that important.

This is unacceptable! The restaurant may have a nice view, but that does not excuse the terrible and discriminatory service. I strongly advise other travelers, especially those who don’t have a reservation or are of Asian descent, to be prepared for potentially rude and dismissive treatment. I CANNOT recommend this place to anyone!!!

We came to this restaurant for lunch in March on a weekday. Even though we hadn’t made a reservation, we easily found a table. The restaurant is located near the lakeside promenade of Desenzano and has parking available right in front of the entrance. The indoor dining area is spacious and open, with large windows offering a view of the lake. The style of the two interior spaces is modern but distinct: the inner area is cozy, minimal, and rustic, while the terrace section has a Mediterranean, modern, and summery feel.

We sat near the windows, with a beautiful view of the lake and Sirmione. We ordered pizzas: Prosciutto cotto e carciofi (Re) and Cipolla di Tropea e Grana (Pugliese), along with Coca-Cola and caffè corretto at the end of the meal.

The service was friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly. We both enjoyed the pizza and had a pleasant experience overall.

In conclusion, we recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a good meal with a beautiful view, right near the lakeside promenade.

Prenotato per festeggiare una festa di Dottorato. Eravamo in 19. Abbiamo prenotato per le 21.30, ma per vari problemi logistici (arrivavamo da tutta Italia e non avevamo le auto per spostarci) abbiamo capito che non saremmo arrivati in tempo. Iniziamo a chiamare in 6/7 persone per avvertire del ritardo e dopo decine di telefonate a vuoto ci rispondo finalmente verso le 22.15. Arriviamo alle 22.30 e ci dicono che la cucina ha chiuso, possiamo mangiare solo pizza. Alla metà di noi non va ed una cucina serrata alle 22.30 è cosa rara pure dalle mie parti (Piemonte), ma in fondo siamo arrivati in ritardo di un'ora quindi ok. Nessuno protesta. Chiedo "Potrei avere una wrustel e patatine?" "No. Niente patatine perché la cucina è chiusa. Al massimo ti metto i wrustel" Non commento ed ordino altro. Arriva la pizza, sottile ma buonina, decisamente non eccelsa. Al mio amico che aveva ordinato una pizza con il prosciutto crudo ci buttano su lo speck pensando che lui non avrebbe notato la differenza. Da quel momento inizia il vigile controllo dei camerieri pronti a strapparci i piatti prima ancora che finissimo. Il povero festeggiato, che per ovvie ragioni non era sempre fermo al suo posto, torna e non trova più la sua cena. Si accontenta di strappare degli avanzi alla cameriera in fuga con i piatti pieni dicendo "io in realtà quelle croste le mangerei volentieri". Finiamo la pizza entro le 23.15, chiediamo un dolce. Due torte in esposizione all'ingresso, ma ci guardano e dicono "No la cucina è chiusa". Sempre il festeggiato "ma non c'è qualche avanzo? Anche solo una pallina di gelato?" "No la cucina è chiusa, non è avanzato nulla". Prendiamo dei caffè, una ragazza urla "potrei averlo macchiato?" Ed il cameriere risponde "9 caffè normali giusto?" E scappa senza ascoltare risposta. Tornano con i caffè e due ragazzi chiedono se possono aggiungerne altri due "No abbiamo pulito la macchinetta". Chiediamo degli amari, "Si, ma dovete ordinarli ora che poi il bar chiude". Cosa chiude di preciso? Le bottiglie? Alle 23.45 ci cacciano fuori, alle 00.00 il locale ha le luci spente e loro stanno andando via. Prezzo finale per pizza + birra (solo alcuni)+ caffè (solo alcuni) + amaro (solo alcuni): 26€ a testa. Location d'effetto (se sei sul terrazzo, noi eravamo all'interno), pizza mangiabile, ma per un servizio del genere magari potreste anche vergognarvi. Sia mai che per finire di mangiare la pizza vi facevamo chiudere 10...
