We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nazionale in Desenzano. The hotel is very well maintained, regularly renovated, and in excellent condition. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the housekeeping was outstanding throughout our stay.||||Our room had a beautiful wooden floor, and the entire facility felt fresh and welcoming. The pool area was also very well, with plenty of sunbeds available at all times. What we especially appreciated was that there were no towels used to "reserve" spots – everything was relaxed and respectful.||||The location is top – close to the lace and city. The check-in process was smooth and straightforward, without the need for endless forms or a credit card guarantee. The atmosphere is casual and very comfortable, with around 40 to 50 rooms, which adds to the charm.||||Breakfast was great every day – always fully stocked, with a good selection and attentive service. There were always tables available, both inside and outside, nicely set up and ready to go.||||Fresh pool towels were provided daily, and the entire property was exceptionally clean. We also really appreciated the spacious, free garage parking – a big plus.||||A lovely gesture: at check-out, we were even given two complimentary bottles of water for the road – very nice!||||All in all, a truly pleasant and hassle-free experience. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic stay – we’d definitely love to come back.||||Room 210...
Read moreWhat a wonderful hotel! Extremely clean rooms and hotel, friendly and helpful staff, good food and a great sized pool with a sunny space to enjoy the Italian sun! It’s hard to find family rooms in Italy at times but this hotel provides them (king size bed and two singles). Room was generously sized despite the extra beds and exceptionally clean. Some things to help future travellers:|1. Walk into town is 5 minutes from the hotel|2. Walk from train station is 15 mins (downhill on way here!) but is very manageable and helpful. Can get train from here direct to Milan, Verona (and onto Venice) etc.|3. Breakfast is excellent. Fresh local foods-bread, jams, fresh honey, meats, scrambled and boiled eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt, fruit juices. Can have breakfast inside or in terrace.|4. Hotel serves good selection of poolside food on terrace from around 12-2 and from 6pm. Favourites were focaccia with ham and cheese, breaded chicken in focaccia and piadina (toasted wrap with ham and cheese).|5. Lots of restaurants and Gelateria’s in town to choose from|6. Rooms have air conditioning that works really well|7. There is a grocery shop minutes walk from the hotel which is very handy.|8. There is a huge local market that arrives on a Tuesday in the Main Street in the town which is worth a visit. ||Overall, a fantastic holiday in a lovely hotel that deserves the 5 star rating. Would definitely...
Read moreHotel amazing , very very clean. Nice pool. Some friendly staff. Stayed here for 1 week and enjoyed our stay.
The pros: nice pool , very clean and tidy. Average food and drinks available. Staff- very helpful and pleasant. Aircon- free Safebox- free Surroundings- very pleasant
Cons: TV in room was mainly in Italian and other languages, The only english channel I could find was the BBC news. No toilets near pool - you have to walk through reception and down under the hotel. No coffee or tea facilities in room! Buffet breakfast- same food daily- it never changed in the week we stayed which was a bit boring. The hotel has loads of rooms but are closed and boarded up! It's weird. If you are thinking of staying here and like views ask for a pool or lake view as we were allocated a side view which sadly looked over the audi garage dealership roof and looking at their air-conditioning units !!! Not very pleasant. We went through TUi and be aware there's no rep allocated here! Which was very disappointing- you have to communicate via the Tui app.
There's loads to do here , loads of eating places. I would highly recommend a boat trip to Bardolino and other resorts. Italy is a beautiful place. Very clean and tidy. There's many walks and other activities to do.
In my opinion I wouldn't rate this hotel as a 4* maybe a 3*+
Would I return to this hotel ? - sadly no. Would I...
