We stayed here for 10 nights, self-catering in a huge 2 bedroomed lake view apartment on the 4th floor, room 420 and it did not disappoint!||These apartments are fantastic! They're super clean, with comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen (though we missed having a toaster), loads of wardrobe space, air conditioning in all of the rooms, plenty of clean towels, a comfortable sofa bed and a huge terrace/balcony that wrapped around the whole apartment. They even provided a rack for drying clothes. ||The whole balcony was covered/ sheltered all the way around so when we did get a bit of rain we could sit outside and enjoy watching the rain over the lake. We saw a lightning storm at night, which was pretty impressive too, but it didn't last long. The other side of the apartment has stunning mountain views in the distance, also with a view of the lake. So beautiful! ||We used the beautiful pool every single day and there were always sunbeds available. The pool area and the apartments themselves are quiet and very relaxing.||These apartments are in an excellent location, less than a 5-minute walk down to the lake and a 12-minute walk to Desenzano del Garda train station, which I would highly recommend using, it's great! We travelled from here on three occasions and did day trips to Milan, Venice and Verona. There is a handy little supermarket a couple of minutes' walk away too. Top tip - buy your water early in the day as it sells out quickly.||The apartments are just a 5-minute walk from Desenzano itself. This town is so beautiful. The ferries are very handy to use and it's just a few short minutes (€6 return) to the picturesque town of Sirmione. We even did a little sunset cruise which was fabulous. ||The staff of the Il Sogno Apartments are just lovely. They helped us to arrange taxis, and access to the laundry room to wash our clothes, they offer a drinks & snacks service at the pool and cannot do enough for you to make sure your stay is perfect. I would recommend these apartments to anyone. The location is second to none. They are a short walk into the centre, where you’ll find loads of nice restaurants. On check in the lovely Oscar gave us a map of the town and circled some recommendations for us. Oscar was very helpful and very friendly, as were all the staff. ||The room itself is lovely and bright. We were on the second floor with a balcony that was more than enough for us. On the balcony was a table and chairs to sit out as well as a clothes dryer. The shower is fantastic and very powerful. There is a small kitchen and all required utensils, albeit we didn’t use it. Breakfast was made up of scrambled eggs & bacon then a large array of cereals, pastries, cakes and jam etc. ||There was a beautiful swimming pool, but again we didn’t use this but it looked lovely, very clean & plenty of sunbeds. |||There was the option to use the apartment bikes and there were umbrellas that guests could use in the rainy weather. Which we unfortunately needed one day. ||The night before check out we went down to see if we needed to do anything due to leaving very early due to a flight and reception being closed that early. The lovely man on reception (sorry didn’t get his name) asked if we wanted a breakfast pack making which we agreed. On going down to collect the pack the biggest tray was given to us with orange juice, milk, pastries, cakes, Jams etc. All wrapped up. ||We have honestly had the most amazing holiday.
