Bar Moderno — Restaurant in Domodossola

Guys, the moment I entered - it started with ‘I need to clean this part of the restaurant, so go and sit there with everyone else next to the bar’. That’s a cool welcome!

The toilets are disgustingly dirty. The whole place stinks with chlorine. The lady was cleaning with these stinky products while I was eating.

The risotto with shrimps and zucchini had 4 little pieces of zucchini and 4 tiny shrimps for 9 euro. Com’n, guys, you can do better! And it wasn’t tasty at all.

Big disappointment, to be honest, never again.

By the way, the lift in Domodossola station doesn’t work for the fifth year(!) in a row,...

After having been ignored by the not very motivated waiter for almost 10 minutes (the place was busy but not really full), I ordered a pizza which took another 20 minutes to get done. The pizza ingredients were mostly of the cheapest kind and pretty much just thrown onto the crust. I had to go in to pay because the waiter repeatedly ignored my request to pay quickly as I had to take a train. I will not return but instead buy a packed sandwich...

Great coffee/chill place across the station. Offers: great coffee with reasonable prices (gin seng for 1.5 and caffè macchiato for 1.6) decent food (carbonara for 8 euro only) helpful waiters (didn’t quite understand English but is responsive and helpful)

Just overall a people-friendly and wallet-friendly spacious cafe to chill while waiting...
