Locanda 23 — Restaurant in Favignana

Me and my husband went there because we saw the good reviews on google maps and decided to go for it because since we have been in Sicily for 20days we relied on them.Let me tell you the food tasted disgusting, we started with the mussel soup, I think they used too much white wine to cook it and it tasted so bitter plus it came so quick so I think it was premade and didn’t taste fresh at all, then we had to wait for almost 30min for our dishes to come, we ordered seafood couscous and pasta with shrimp and pistachio pesto sauce.It also tasted so bitter the pistachio used was probably not good quality and the seafood on the couscous was burnt which made the semolina also taste bitter it was uneatable.We even asked them if the signature of the restaurant was bitter after taste because we couldn’t believe that everything we ordered tasted bad.We sent back the dishes and when it was time for the bill they tried to make us pay the full amount when we didn’t even eat the two dishes, they kept trying to lower the price by a few euros but we said no we will only pay for the cocktail and the mussels since that was what we finished.During this whole time they had a nasty attitude as if the servers own the restaurant!!! The boss was also there and he didn’t even take the time to apologize, none of them did just kept acting up.And then later the night my husband got sick but since we had to leave the island we couldn’t go back to see the bottom of it.We spent our last day in Sicily just in the hotel bought some medicine and couldn’t eat anything because he got food poisoning.Worst experience in favignana and...

This is the first negative review I ever leave. I know the hard work it takes to run a restaurant.

We ordered a tagliere and two dishes.

The tagliere seemed a bit small versus the others one we had seen going out but we didn’t say anything. Then my dish was meant to have merluzzo in it, but it was missing and nobody said anything. My boyfriend ordered a tuna dish with potatoes, again missing, without a word from the waiter.

When I said something about my dish, the waiter said something along the lines of “yes it’s normal”, but he hadn’t said anything before? Then in the end we went to pay, and they charged us 78; when we said something about our missing items, the waitress didn’t react surprised and we nearly immediately got a discount to 70.

I left the place feeling scammed (or that I would have been should I have not said anything) and it tainted the otherwise nice...

Esperienza non proprio positiva, il locale si trova in pieno centro a Favignana, è ben arredato e si presenta bene.

Il menù non è vario, poca scelta sia nei primi che nei secondi. La qualità della materia prima è alta, nonostante alcuni prodotti siano surgelati, e ciò è indicato nel menu, il sapore è deciso e la tenerezza del pesce si nota senza ombra di dubbio.

Abbiamo preso un antipasto di cozze in due, il prodotto non era male tuttavia non ho apprezzato la scelta per la sua preparazione, viene servito su un brodo di olio e limone che copre ogni sapore, manca completamente il pepe, viene fuori una cozza amara e senza il classico sapore deciso che normalmente ha (è coperto dall'olio e dal limone).

Due primi successivamente, la mia ragazza ha preso gambero e pistacchio, segnalo la qualità del gambero mi ha davvero soddisfatto tuttavia il condimento pieno di olio risulta davvero pesante. Io ho preso busiate tonno e pomodoro, il pesce era sicuramente buono tuttavia qui ho riscontrato la più grande pecca di questa esperienza, il peperoncino. Io non mangio peperoncino e cerco di evitarlo sempre. Nel menu non era scritto nulla che facesse capire una cosa del genere e preciso che non era del semplice peperoncino messo nel soffritto bensì dei pezzi messi proprio nel sugo. Io ovviamente ho mangiato solo il tonno e lasciato tutta la pasta, che tra l'altro era di ottima qualità e ben cotta. Il personale ha notato che il piatto non è stato di mio gradimento e mi ha chiesto una spiegazione, io ho fatto presente il motivo e mi è stato detto che potevo segnalarlo prima così avrei avuto un cambio. Bene io non intendo buttare il cibo a maggior ragione se si stratta di pesce o carne, pertanto mi sono limitato a lasciare la porzione di pasta e mangiare quantomeno il pesce. Io credo che non sia colpa del cliente non dire che il piatto non sia stato di gradimento, cosa che lasciava intendere l'affermazione fatta dal cameriere, piuttosto del personale che non lo ha indicato né nel menu né a voce una volta ordinato, bastava un semplice "scusa, sistemeremo il menù". Il prezzo era alto ed è anche per questo che sono così critico, per 65€ totali mi aspetto un trattamento un po' diverso. Vi consiglio di scrivere meglio il vostro menù, aldilà delle scelte di preparazione che io non condivido, è un locale che opera materia prima di ottima qualità ma a mio avviso non la prepara come la tradizione siciliana insegna (mai visto del peperoncino nelle busiate tonno e pomodoro...
