Pizzeria Sancho Dal 1969 — Restaurant in Fiumicino

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious lunch at Pizzeria Sancho in Rome, and I must say that it was a truly exceptional experience.

In particular, I was blown away by the pizza romana, which were cooked to perfection and featured a wonderful variety of fresh and flavorful ingredients. Each thing was beautifully presented and truly a work of art.

What really set Pizzeria Sancho apart, however, was the exceptional service and warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.

I would highly recommend Pizzeria Sancho to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience in Rome. Ich weiß nicht, wieso der Laden so gute Bewertungen hat. Leider muss ich in jeder Kategorie (Essen, Service, Ambiente) 1 Stern verteilen. Hier die Gründe:

Essen: Wir als Touristen wollten mal diese andere Art von Pizza austesten. Allerdings sehr unübersichtlich das Angebot, denn keine der Pizzen ist an der Theke beschildert. Wir wussten nicht, was genau wir bestellen sollen. Wir aßen vor Ort. Pizza war komplett kalt. Die Pizza mit Kartoffel und Schwein war versalzen, das Fleisch sah richtig widerlich aus (siehe Foto). Aus dem Grund aßen wir sie auch nicht. Die Pizza mit Mozzarella und Kartoffeln war ungewürzt und geschmackslos. Lediglich die dicke Kartoffelbrei Schicht hat man rausgeschmeckt. Viel zu dick mit der Pampe belegt. Die Margarita war in Ordnung.

Service: Da keine der Pizzen beschildert war, fragten wir auf Englisch nach einer Beschreibung. Auf Italienisch bekamen wir eine Antwort, aber keine Beschreibung zu den Pizzen. Stattdessen machten sich die anderen Gäste mit dem Verkäufer über uns lustig (auf italienisch). Wir bestellten also ohne zu wissen, was in der Pizza ist, drei Stücke. Plötzlich konnte die Bedienung einwandfreies Englisch. Sinn hat das für uns nicht gemacht. 12€ für das bisschen Pizza, die nicht mal schmeckt, war uns auch zu teuer.

Ambiente: Viel zu viele Tische und Stühle auf kleinen Raum. Man kommt nicht durch, wenn andere Gäste auch vor Ort verzehren. Hinzu kommt der Eingang mit einer Metallrampe. Verletzungsgefahr. Eine Dame ist ausgerutscht und hingefallen. Eine Toilette ist auch nicht vor Ort.

Fazit: Auf keinen Fall würden wir nochmal dort essen gehen. Man fühlt sich nicht ernst genommen, obwohl man zahlender Kunde ist. Schmeckt nicht. Danach war uns eher übel aus den oben...

Non siamo andati nella sede di fiumicino ma quella nei pressi del centro per intenderci. All'ingresso ci hanno praticamente costretto a prendere le pizze che dicevano loro: in senso positivo ovviamente, ci hanno proposto le pizze migliori, che abbiamo accettato volentieri. La simpatia c'era, e anche la qualità dei prodotti. Abbiamo preso il loro cavallo di battaglia, bianca porchetta in crosta di patate, bianca con la scarola, bianca con rollè e bianca con cotoletta (fettina panata altrimenti si potrebbero arrabbiare) e maionese, ed un paio di suppli (mazzancolle e classico). Premetto che le pizze le abbiamo mangiate, ahimè e per colpa nostra, fredde: abbiamo dovuto aspettare molto per mangiarle e non abbiamo potuto scaldarle, ma questa ovviamente è completamente colpa nostra. La pizza nonostante questo, era ottima: soprattutto quella con la fettina panata, e con un una maionese fatta a regola d'arte si è rivelata buonissima, per non parlare delle altre. Forse quella che mi è piaciuto un pò meno è con il rollè, ma possono essere benissimo gusti personali. I suplli invece li abbiamo mangiati caldi, ed erano dei buoni suppli. L'unico "difetto", che sento di appuntare, era la quantità di olio. Un pò meno sarebbe stato perfetto, in quanto aprendo il cartone risultava pregno d'olio (aggiungo che sono una persona che non disdegna le mangiate unte, anzi). Ma si tratta appunto di trovare il pelo nell'uovo, pizza davvero ottima (non avete bisogno di pubblicizzarvi con personaggi scadenti, che rischiano di portarvi una clientela sbagliata, a buon intenditore...)....
