My husband and I decided to have dinner on our last night at hotel. We walked into the restaurant and there was no one about so we walked down the steps to another area. I assumed it was the manager who looked over the rail and I asked him if we could sit anywhere he abruptly said no and pointed to upstairs. So we went back up and had to ask again where we could sit. He pointed to a small table, and said here. When he finally came back to ask us for drinks we said we would like to order our food also. Not once did anyone offer water. Infact when I asked for a glass of water he said they only had bottles of course they charged us for that. Anyway our food arrived and we were not asked if we wanted parmesan cheese or offered any bread which seemed to be customary in every other Italian restaurant we had visited. Read moreThe food in the restaurant was excellent (I had dinner there but not breakfast). Room with a balcony offering views of the River Tiber and the sea was well equipped with a nice bathroom. However, during my stay there was a strong Easterly wind blowing down the Tiber which howled around the balcony and air conditioning all night long.
