Bottega Artigiana del Gusto — Restaurant in Florence

Traveling with two kids with celiac and two other others who are gluten intolerant, this place was an amazing find! My husband loves pizza and this was probably his favorite gluten-free pizza of our entire trip to Italy! Don’t let the distance from the city center dissuade you. It was a beautiful walk along the river from neat Pitti Palace where we are staying. Plus, the walk helped us feel a little about the extra cookies and treats we ordered for take-away. The meat and cheese puff pastries were also exceptionally great! If anyone in your party does not eat, gluten, this is an absolute must try on your trip to Florence! Celiacs rejoice - and head over to the only 100% gluten free bakery in Florence. A quick trip from the center by bus and you will be rewarded with the most amazing gluten free breads, pizzas and pastries. We focused on the croissants, donuts and cream filled pastries - which were undoubtedly some of the best we have sampled anywhere in the world - heaven. Hoping to return to try some of their other brunch/lunch offerings - like pizza, panini and the gorgeous looking breads. There are a few tables inside so you can eat in and they also have a good selection of fresh pasta and other gluten free items for sale. Staff were very friendly and helpful too....

Gluten free heaven, coeliac mecca! It might be a little trek outside of the city, but its way worth the trip for lunch. Gluten free beer, hot food, sweets and a shop to buy pasta or anything to take back to the airbnb. As someone who doesn't suffer from coeliac disease, but travels with someone who does, I have to say the food was amazing and could barely tell it was gluten free.
