Forno Becagli — Restaurant in Florence

OMG!!!!!!! If you are a pastries person you have to go here. I went because I was craving something sweet and decided to try it. Bought two and went to my hotel to eat while relaxing and it was the best decision I have ever made IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

I'm a pastries girl but these were specially DEVINE ✨😇✨ Not joking, the best I've had in my entire life, in any country I've been. I thought I had good pastries before but that was because I never came here before. Not joking I will go back tomorrow to try more.

The space is really small and when I went it was kinda hidden by construction work right in front of the door, but be sure to go in and have something, ANYTHING. Its to die for, I wish I could bring them with me wherever I go. I'm going to cry over this when I crave pastries...

This place is in our way everyday from school and we always see a long line. So we tried their sandwiches and some torta. I would say they do deserve that consistent long line. It is being run by a bunch of signora who are very polite. As for the schiacciata sandwich, although this is very common in Florence, their bread is extra buono in taste and texture! It is crunchy but not too much, and you can still chew it pretty well even if it goes cold. If you have been in Florence during the winter, you will know your sandwich has gone cold after a minute and then the schiacciata can go tough and chewy. This place does their schiacciata very well, kudos to the signore...

This place is just crazy. This is the pie I've always dreamed of! It's an apple pie fantasy. The chocolate tart and cheese tart are both so deliciously balanced. It's on a whole other level than the crazy sweet desserts! I want to buy a pie here every day and read a book while drinking coffee. I'm planning on coming here every day while I'm in Florence!

In the end, I went there for all three days I was in Florence, and the best was the one that looked like a sponge cake. I ate it slightly warmed up in the oven, but I missed it so much that I took two more to go and ate them while I was going to other cities. It really makes me...
