Quite delicious food here! We were not expecting such tasty Indian food in Florence. Only downside is that the portion sizes were quite small and the servers took a very long time to come and take our order. Food did come fast though. It's just that we have to wait a really long time for our order to be taken. Garlic naan was very flavorful. Simple, but delicious. I was expecting something very fancy for the chili garlic naan but I think I preferred the garlic naan more. Dal Banzara was AMAZING! Large chunks of dal, and proper spicy too. So good! Jeera Rice Was also simple but delicious. Good ratio of the rice and jeera. Dad got Gosh Beliram (a mutton dish) and loved it! The actual gravy part was spicy which was very appreciated. Murgh Makhan Wala was basically like butter chicken. Quite a creamy curry but I think it could have been a little more spicy. Felt fairly sweet at some point. Hariyali Kebab was very meh. Sister got this and said it was very plain; No flavor. Pistachio Lassi was a disappointment. There wasn't really much pistachio flavor; Mostly just lassi flavor with a hint of pistachio. Masala Chai was a hit! Came in a cute tea cup as well. It was not hot though; More like room temperature, so it had to be drunk quickly.

After enjoying the gelato , wood fired pizza and various pasta dishes for the past 5 days in Florence , my wife and I desperately needed something spicy and savoury that we grew up with. Entering the glass doors during our reservation , we were greeted by the host and was seated immediately. The ochre/mustard coloured walls reflecting city of Firenze was also harmonious to the spices used in Indian cuisine. While deciding to order, we were served papad with chutneys and a lime pickle. We ordered the pistachio Lassi as well as the traditional Mango Lassi. The fresh yoghurt with mango was really good as expected. What really pleasantly surprised us was the pistachio lassi which was something we never tried. The lamb chops were well marinated, soft and tender. The garlic and butter naan was freshly made and was soft. The chicken kadahi served in a copper bowl was very delicious with a good portion of tender chicken. Lastly we ordered the chicken biryani . The chicken biryani was well spiced. The rice was abit over cooked in our opinion. In conclusion , this was a fantastic meal and we definitely will visit the next time we are in beautiful city of Florence and crave authentic Indian food. Definitely recommended!

If you’re a traveller, especially a desi roaming around and suddenly hit by that classic craving for ghar ka khana, this place is a must. The food is absolutely amazing, and the best part—it feels like home on a plate. For Indians craving those familiar flavors, just chat with the staff in our very own desi bhasha. They totally get it. We were missing our good old yellow dal, so I told the server, “Chef ko bolo, dal mein dhabha wala tadka maar ke, thoda mast masala daalke bana do, jaise ghar pe khate hain.” And trust me, they nailed it. What came out of the kitchen was pure nostalgia—dal loaded with that spicy, comforting tadka, just like back home. Add to that the warm smiles and helpful attitude of the staff, and suddenly you don’t feel so far from India anymore. We ended up ordering way more than planned (because who can stop at just dal?), and left with our cravings completely satisfied—for the rest of the trip. If you’re desi and missing home food, this is your spot.

A True Gem of Indian Fine Dining in Florence!

Dining at Haveli Restaurant Florence was an unforgettable experience, blending the richness of Indian cuisine with warm Italian hospitality. From the moment we stepped in, we were embraced by the inviting ambiance elegant yet cozy, with fusion of contemporary and traditional Indian décor elements that beautifully complemented the fine dining atmosphere.

A special mention must go to Mr. Giotti Singh, whose gracious hospitality elevated our evening. He ensured that every detail was perfect, guiding us through the menu with genuine warmth and knowledge. His attentiveness and welcoming demeanor made us feel like honored guests rather than just diners.

The food itself was a culinary delight—each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. From the fragrant biryanis to the delicately spiced curries and freshly baked naan, every bite transported us straight to India.

Whether you’re a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Haveli is a must-visit in Florence. It’s not just a meal; it’s a full cultural experience delivered with care,...
