Because of all the high reviews I was really looking forward to eating here! Unfortunately our personal experience wasn’t great.

We made a reservation at 20:30 and arrived on time. When we were seated we had to open the menu on our phones (which I thought was super clever by the way). The menu itself is a bit overwhelming since it’s 27 pages long.

After 15 minutes of waiting until we could order I tried to order two different drinks but neither were available, which I wasn’t too upset about. We immediately ordered our food aswel.

Though we ordered our food at the same time as others (and ours didn’t look more difficult than the dishes I saw going to their tables), after an hour we had only gotten two small things even though the people around us would order and get it super fast (not just sushi, more intricate dishes too).

After an hour and a half, we finally got the rest of our dishes (it were 3 small ones), and they were tasty but in our opinion not worth the wait. After that we ended up leaving because we didn’t enjoy it enough to have to wait another hour.

They also didn’t have any of the deserts that were listed on the menu which was unfortunate because we were really looking forward to them.

Not our...

Randomly passed by and was intrigued by the look and lighting inside. Upon closer look they had many TripAdvisor rewards and for good reason. Had four different dishes/plates and they were all really good. After living in New York for twenty years, I’ve been spoiled with some of the best sushi in the world and these guys belongs up there in their company. I saw a previous review that mentioned that they were not Japanese, and no I don’t think so and I really don’t care because there sushi was a little different and very very delicious! Only comment would be there grilled octopus appetizer I got appeared to be steamed and not grilled and therefor missing the charred flavor I expected but still tasted good.

In my eager to eat I forgot to...

I found this place to be very disappointing. The rice-to-fish ratio for everything we ate was too high (there was barely any fish on the rolls we ate), and the food was very greasy. They used old oil to fry the tempura, and the vegetable tempura was all carrots and potatoes (we ordered vegetable tempura because the sautéed mixed vegetables were not available; we were hoping to eat something green). Based on the reviews my expectations were very high, but they did not deliver high quality sushi. FYI this restaurant does not appear to be run by Japanese...
