This place is an absolute gem! Very delicious, honest, home cooked food that is prepared fresh on the spot. The vibe is great - friendly and laid back. The two woman there (serving and cooking) were clearly working very hard. Perfect place to have drinks and some of their amazing crostini. But don’t look past their first and second courses. The menu appears to highlight whatever is available in season and there is a good selection of different animal part dishes. Everything was great - food, drinks, dessert, service, atmosphere. This place is a MUST if you’re looking for actual real florentine food cooked authentically by ladies from Florence. Everything was absolutely divine, from the drinks to the food and to the service. Looked after us so well, took time to go through the menu with us and answered all our questions. Everything is locally sourced and cooked right in front of you. A small selective menu to choose from, with the staple dishes of Florence done perfectly ( ribollita, tripe, wild boar, cow tongue ). Loved every dish especially the selection of crostinis, would definitely come back here again and again. I don’t want to sound over the top but this is legit some of the best food of my entire life. It was the Italian mama’s kitchen hole in the wall spot. During my 3 weeks in Italy I visited Rome, Naples, Palermo, and finally Florence. I had phenomenal food the entire trip and had a lot of favorite spots but this was absolutely 100 percent number one.
