Narciso Restaurant & Rooftop Pool Bar — Restaurant in Florence

I never write bad reviews but our experience was absolutely horrible.

Great view but we arrived at 19:15 and had drinks, dinner service was supposed to start at 19:30. We kept asking to put in order and still at 20:15 the kitchen was still "preparing" so they kept refusing to take our order.

Then upon checking out to pay for our overpriced drinks to go get food elsewhere, they informed us their card reader was not working and we would have to pay cash. I am traveling and only get a small amount of cash which took all I had, I am not sure what they would have done had we ended up actually dining there as we did not have anymore cash!!

COMMUNICATE. If card reader down. COMMUNICATE if kitchen staff arrived late or whatever. Don't just ignore the issues and your customers

Giovedì abbiamo trascorso una piacevole serata su una carinissima terrazza. Ho prenotato un tavolo e già al telefono mi sono imbattuta in Federica, una dipendente che oltre a una gran dose di gentilezza ha mostrato anche competenza e professionalità. Dopo aver manifestato i miei problemi di allergie e intolleranze alimentari, mi ha inviato il menù rendendomi subito partecipe delle cose che avrei trovato al buffet e non solo si è messa in contatto con lo chef chiedendo eventuali variazioni sul primo piatto servito quella sera. Devo un grazie di cuore anche a Lui che mi ha preparato un piatto fuori menù davvero delizioso! Staff professionale e molto gentile. Cibo buonissimo. Ambiente pulitissimo. Torneremo sicuramente...
