Pro: The breakfast is exceptional along with the amazing breakfast staff. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. Several food and beverage options.

Pro: The lobby area is quite modern and appealing to the eye.

Pro: The bathroom is huge with 2 sinks!

Pro: The front desk staff was friendly and helpful when asked for assistance with taxi service, check-in, and check-out.

Pro: There is a bus and tram pickup/drop-off less than 5 minutes away.

Con: The floor in the room is uneven. Remember this when walking to the restroom in the dark as you may think you've had too much to drink. It's not the Aperol Spritz causing you to continuously stumble. It's the unlevel floor.

Con: There are NO wash cloths in this hotel. You read that correctly. We were told we must use hand towels for our face and body. Imagine washing your face and bathing with a big hand towel. With that said, there are only 2 hand towels and 2 full-size towels in the room, so you need to figure out what to use to simply dry your hands since the hand towel is also your wash cloth. 🤣 The front desk said they would ask housekeeping to provide extra hand towels. 2 hours later, no extras. I walked down to the front desk to follow up. Still no extra towels. We gave up after the 2nd night of going through this.

Con: Housekeeping made up the bed and emptied the trash. Dirty mugs and glasses were left exactly where they were. The same dirty glasses from night 1 remained until we checked out. To be fair, they also didn't take the money I had left them each day as a tip. I would rather they accept the tip and give us clean mugs and glasses.

Con: There is a tea kettle but no coffee maker. They provide Nescafe instant coffee in the room so be prepared to heat water and make instant coffee. There is a complimentary coffee maker in the lobby, but it was out of order, so no fresh coffee until the morning when you go to the restaurant for breakfast.

The hotel is about a 20-minute walk to the popular city center so plan for this. It's a beautiful walk along the river but plan that into your travel itinerary when scheduling your day unless you plan to pay BIG money for taxis. The tram/bus stop is close by, as well.

Overall, we always book NH Collection when traveling to Europe and will continue to because the one in Rome is spectacular!! I just won't book this particular hotel next year when returning...

Honest Review We booked a premium room at this property expecting a comfortable stay, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing and felt like a waste of money. For the price we paid, we believe we did not receive the level of service and quality advertised, and honestly feel this stay should be eligible for at least a partial refund. Cons Poor lighting in the room: The room was extremely dark, with no ceiling lights like those shown in the pictures. Instead, there were only two small bed lamps and a tall lamp beside the sofa. Because of this, it was hard to find things in the room, and we constantly had to use the washroom mirror to get ready. Even though there was a tall mirror in the room, the lack of proper lighting made it impossible to see ourselves properly. Unreliable WiFi: The internet barely worked, and our iCloud wouldn’t sync. This forced us to keep deleting photos just to make space for new ones, which was very frustrating. Swimming pool timing: The pool only opens at 11 AM, which wastes a big part of the day if you want to enjoy it before sightseeing. Breakfast-to-go option: The packed breakfast was very poor—just dry bread and a tiny croissant. Definitely not worth it. Unhelpful staff: Receptionists often seemed irritated by simple questions (like confirming a taxi booking). The attitude was unwelcoming. Balcony issue: Our balcony door wouldn’t open, and we had to complain three times before it was fixed. Amenities not replenished: Shampoo and shower gels were not refilled regularly. Wake-up call failure: We had an early morning flight, but the wake-up call we requested never came. Overall, we felt let down—especially since we booked a premium room. The service and facilities did not match the price point, leaving us feeling misled and disappointed. Pros The pool itself, although small, was enjoyable. The food was good, with a nice view and friendly waiters (unlike the reception staff). Location was decent. A small welcome gift (slippers and towel) was a nice gesture. Final Thoughts While the property has some positives, the poor service, misleading room descriptions, and lack of basic hospitality made our stay extremely disappointing. We regret booking this hotel and genuinely feel it was not worth the money. At the very least, a partial refund would be fair given the...

This is our third time in Florence and our third stay at NH Firenze. We had other choices, but because of our past experience staying here, it was a no brainer to come back to NH Firenze.

Reservations - Simple and easy. Great rates.

Arrival - We were very warmly welcomed by Nadine. After being on a long flight, she made sure that check-in process was quick and simple. We first met Nadine in 2017 when we first stayed at NH Firenze.

When we got to our room, we warmly welcomed with a beautiful “Welcome to your NHome in Florence” message and a welcome present from Nadine.

Our Stay - Our entire was very pleasant and relaxing. We slept well, had good breakfast and our interactions with the front desk team was great. Like any hotel, there are those that go the extra mile to make sure they help the best they can and there are those that assist because it is their job.

Nadine - For our entire stay, was very warm helpful and friendly. Every time we asked a question, needed assistance or had requests, she did with a smile and warmth.

Giulio - Gave us suggestions about Chianti tours that saved us a lot of money. He suggested instead of renting a car to go to Greve in Chianti, we could simply take the bus. We were all for his suggestion.

Elena - Requested her to print train tickets. Not only did she print them but she also put the printed tickets in a plastic sleeve. It’s the attention to detail that surprised me.

Edyta - Every morning for breakfast, always had a smile. She always prepared cappuccino for us remembering how we wanted it every morning.

Departure - We had an early flight. We requested for a taxi at 4:40 AM. Taxi was at the hotel at 4:35 AM. Once again, Nadine checked us out. She walked us to the door and wished us well on our travel back home.

Of course, there are somethings at the NH Firenze that could be improved, but none of them affected our stay. It is the human interaction and the comfort at the property that makes NH Firenze a place we can call home...

I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience in hopes it helps others make an informed decision. My pregnant wife and I booked a two-night stay at NH Firenze through my credit card's travel portal. Upon arrival, we were shocked by the condition of our room. The floor appeared unswept, and we found boogers, hair and nail clippings on the bed—something I’ve never encountered in any hotel stay. It was an unacceptable state for any guest, let alone someone expecting. In addition, we later realized that the location of the hotel wasn’t ideal for our needs, adding to our discomfort. We made the decision to check out within two hours of arriving, as we didn’t feel comfortable staying any longer. I initially contacted my credit card’s travel support, who informed me that refund discretion rested with the hotel. Fortunately, the front desk manager at NH Firenze agreed to refund one full night and 50% of the second night, which we appreciated and received in writing. However, days turned into weeks without any refund being processed. My credit card company later informed me that the hotel had “denied” the refund, which was deeply frustrating and contradicted what the hotel had previously committed to. Despite multiple follow-ups via email, the hotel staff insisted they submitted the request, yet they have been unable to provide any supporting documentation or proof of processing the refund—something that seems unusual and disappointing. Unfortunately, as of this review, we are still without a refund or resolution. Our stay (or lack thereof) left us feeling extremely let down, and the lack of follow-through has only made it worse. I would caution future travelers to consider other options.

From a quality to price perspective, probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Pros: Rooms are decent and quite modern, though the bed isn’t at a 4 star level Cons (get ready): - Absolute no standards of service whatsoever. They seem completely understaffed. Apart for 2-3 people at front desk, it seems no one else is available. - No iron or anything in the room. I was there for work and was sent to an ironing room to iron my clothes (I typically don’t like to do household chores at a hotel). When I requested to give my clothes for ironing, I was informed that it is an external service and may take a long time - Phone in my room wasn’t working and they couldn’t fix it. Therefore, I had to go down to the lobby for every request (including asking for a bottle opener for a complimentary water bottle which requires an opener). I kept following up at which point I was informed the best they could do was change my room. I had asked for my room to be changed right when I checked in but they said nothing was available, we had already unpacked. - If you get an internal facing room, the view below awaits you. Probably not your idyllic Florentine experience - Housekeeping is mediocre at best. They didn’t replace any toiletries, even after I asked again; the minibar was left un-replenished and the empty bottle on the table was left uncleared. Housekeeping eventually came to refill the minibar, but couldn’t be asked to clean up as I’d requested. - The pool/rooftop is underwhelming and looks much better in pictures; the restaurant and room service menu is extremely limited. If you are a business traveller, avoid. If you value service, avoid. If you are looking for good value, avoid.
