Giving this a 5-star review because they are worth it! However there are a few disclaimers to be aware of. One is the location and one is the configuration of the room. We personally were happy with the location. It is on the far end of the main part of town, away from the Duomo and all of the activity. It’s a 20+ minute walk to Duomo. The advantage is that it’s truly quiet. There is not a ton of foot traffic in this neighborhood in the evening, but we always felt safe. There is construction in the area but we didn’t have any noise issues. Also we booked this for the other reason that it was only a 15-minute walk from the train station. We spent 4 days here, walked to all of the sights and never felt the need to hire a cab. The second disclaimer is that our room had a very odd configuration. This was the standard room selection. We were on the second floor. After exiting elevator we had to go up a step in front of our room door, and then once inside the room, down a short flight of steps to the actual room space. Then up 2 steps to the bathroom. It was fine for us but would definitely be a challenge if any mobility issues. The 5 star worthiness is for fantastic service, immaculate surroundings and super comfortable bed. And pillows, you get a selection of one plush and one memory foam. Room was super comfortable. Shower was nice (except no where to place shower toiletries). Generous room in the closet. The breakfast was beautiful and the staff were kind and gracious. Front desk very helpful. Everything you need...
Read moreWe stopped in Florence for one night after a long way by car and being extremely exhausted. We were so lucky to stay at Ariele hotel. First thing to mention: kind and friendly reception, we meet Irina who were so professional, kind and careful with us, advising where to go and what to do. Rooms are brand new, high ceilings which gives extra comfort, amenities which most of hotels simply don’t have, comfortable bed and pillows and good working ac! Perfectly clean shower and room gave as home feeling! Hight standards where respected totally and photo and reality looks exactly the same. But most important is 5 star breakfast in the garden! It had everything we just wished for: coffee tasted phenomenal, Prosecco, hot options, pastries delicious, croasant 🥐 really tasty, vegetables choices for the one on a diet like me was really a present:) ,fresh honey, good choices of cheese! So all our family founded what we are looking for . Atmosphere was quiet, not noisy place! And close to center. And parking also it’s a huge plus for us to be able to leave the car in the safe place without worries about parking space. Of course we payed for it 35€ but this is the procedure in most of the hotels in Italy. So we decided to stay there one more time on our way back because we were delighted! Internet working smoothly! So me being a picky customer I haven’t found anything to...
Read moreNo heat. It’s October 17. Not until November per front desk. Wet from rain. They had the AC cranked in our room. Finally they turned it off from front desk. Hallway is much warmer than the freezing room. They say wait. They say press 9 on phone to reach front desk after 3 trips up and down the stairs ( elevator slow but not unexpected in renovated hotel). There is no guide on phone of how to reach front desk. They say key card into wall to control light…and there was no key card slot. Light goes out when taking shower in bathroom unless someone moves around in the bedroom…they say (step out during shower) to turn light back on at the switch. No umbrellas. Pouring rain outside. No, never again for this price. At 11:30 pm and still waiting for room to get warm. Does not live up to other reviews. Forget view, at least from this room. Not high tech. Surrounded by other buildings under construction. Room somewhat sterile. On plus side, they offer filtered bottled water. Ceilings are tall....
