If it was possible, I’d give it 6 stars.
This was our first and best meal in Florence. Nothing has lived up since.
The servers were lovely and explained everything to us when we couldn’t understand Italian.
I usually cringe at people who make noises when they eat, but when I put the gnudi in my mouth, everything made sense. It was like the universe aligned.
Every spoonful of tiramisu reminded us of the reason we were alive. It was the perfect balance of cream and coffee. This tiramisu made me feel the presence of God more than The Cathedral.
We came in days later just for the bowls of tiramisu, only hours before leaving Florence, because it would not leave our minds. We had a bowl each, because if you think we were going to share this tiramisu, you’d be wrong.
The bruschetta was very fresh and nice. I couldn’t help but let out a little mmmh.
The gnocchi was good. The pasta was good. The parmesan was amazing. They gave us a whole pot for the table, it was a free-for-all. And we abused this parmesan privilege.
All jokes aside, exceptional restaurant and it made me want to be a better man.

Read moreMy wife and I spent the month of October in Florence, and the Accadi was one of our usuals. We probably ate their 7 times. The food is excellent (best bistecca fiorentina, tiramisu, and chocolate cake we had in Florence), and the service is better. Stefano and his staff are wonderful, warm, and genuinely want you to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience when you come to their restaurant. When we came here we always felt like welcome guests in a a friend's home. Next time we find ourselves in Florence, we'll definitely be going back to visit our friends at the Accadi.
This is a wholly unpretentious, non-touristy sort of place, which is great if you're looking for a genuine Italian experience. This also means you won't be popping in and out quickly. But, honestly, we never had a good, sit-down meal at any restaurant in Italy that took less than 2-3 hours. That's just the pace of the culture so settle in and relax. If you're looking for a fast meal in Italy, stick with kabab, food stands, and...
Read morePeople this trattoria has generally good reviews and that is why we went but unfortunately our experience wasn't the best. Good points, good house wine and the initial contact with the staff was good, we ordered a starter then main, the starter came which was a pork dish. It had small pieces of pork, fresh onion rings and beans in what I think was olive oil, overall it was OK, but I could make the same dish myself in 2 minutes. After this starter we waited about an hour for our main. We saw other people being served that had arrived after us and all except us received a bowl of bread. It was fairly obvious we had been forgotten..Being polite Brits we didn't complain, and I dearly wanted it to be good. When our main meals arrived again they were standard fare. Not too good, sorry but I wouldn't recommend this place. Outdated and basic food. We ate in Pisa the night before in an excellent restaurant with the same rating but the comparisons were...
