Trattoria Il Baca — Restaurant in Florence

Started off good, wood fire was delightful, until the employee threw a plastic cup into it sharing a terrible burning plastic smell. Bread was tasteless. I had to ask for a plate for oil and vinegar. Didn't help the taste of the bread. My husband ordered picca or something... The spaghetti looking pasta that's thicker with a hallow center... It was hard. Not aldante...Hard. I ordered spaghetti and got " pasta fresca" which was a fettuccini type noodle. When I questioned, they simply said, oh yah, we're out of spaghetti. No apologies, nothing. They cleared my half eaten plate without asking if I wanted to take it with me..I didn't. So whatever. But rude. Honestly, we've been traveling in Italy a week now and have experienced some amazing Italian food. This was NOT. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Can't understand at all why they have so many...

That was just amazing!!! Such an amazing experience! The food (1.2kg Steak) cooked on front of us, they took it so eloquent and easy, it was pleasure to watch! We also ordered 1 salad and 1 portion of potato's for both of us! STEAK was the star of the evening and the potato's and salad was perfectly going with it! We had a lovely dinner! The host was great, nice fireplace right next to us especially after a rainy cold day. Seeing the steak cooked right in the fireplace was fun, even though we didn't have the T-bone steak because it's too big for one person. we had the stew which is delicious. My husband like his steaks, and my daughter loved her pasta. Very comfortable and feels like home...
