Rio Grande Ristorante — Restaurant in Florence

Unfortunately it was not a good experience and I did not feel welcome... I had a reservation and when I arrived, the restaurant was almost empty. However, when I asked to move because my table was close to the smoke and in the sun (in a day when Firenze was in a hot wave), I had to insist to move to another place. I was with my wife and daughters that did not want to eat meat, however I could only get the "all you can eat" option for myself if everyone else in the table gets it too. In the end, I just got the buffet... The food was OK, but the number of hot food options in the buffet were very limited (only 8) for this kind of restaurant. I am from Brazil and I am living in Italy for 3 years. Every other times I went to a Brazilian restaurant, I always felt at home, but not here. Even between the employees of the restaurant, I did not feel a friendly environment... It was a big disappointment!

Edit after the restaurant answer: My wife and daughters don't eat red meat, so there would be no way to share the meat with them, and, in this case, it would not make sense to pay "rodízio" for them. I am not this kind of person and I felt bad for being treated like so. Your answer proves what I said about the treatment that we received: it is really bad to go to a restaurant and be treated like that, with this kind of distrust and in a very rude way. And yes, I am from Brazil and already went to several "rodízios" in which my wife and daughters payed only for the buffet and I was the only one getting meat at our table. This is located outside of the city center, however if you are around, is a great place to have meet in Firenze. They have many types of meet and the buffet is complementing with really great Brazilian food such as feijoada, pão de queijo and polenta frita. Another point you can get really good quality meet either by weight or the all you can eat rodízio. Cheaper than most restaurants selling fiorentina in the city center. Il cibo non era male purtroppo il personale scortese e poco professionalitá .sono andata con amici per provare il cibo . Si aveva scelto di mangiare il menù al peso . Mentre si sceglieva si aveva chiesto di nuovo ai ragazzi che servivano la carne come funzionasse e comunicandogli a loro che si avrebbe preso il menù al peso e non quello fisso di 35€, una volta al tavolo mentre si mangiava si era avvicinato lo stesso ragazzo che ci aveva servito con della carne . Dopo un po' è arrivata la cameriera ( che sta pure in cassa ) e ci ha praticamente trattati male parlando in maniera scortese "alzando la voce "e facendoci passare una figuracia " dicendoci che non si aveva la bandiera ( dato che era il loro segnale del menù fisso) e giudicandoci come se noi si avesse chiesto dell' altra carne quando non stato così ,che era stato il suo stesso collega a sbagliare dato che doveva sapere lui dove avvicinarsi e dove passare con della carne invece si era avvicinato a tutti i tavoli . La cameriera ha pure aggiunto che non si poteva condividere il cibo se non ci avrebbe fatto a tutti il menù fisso di 35 €( intanto se io compro menù al peso faccio e se non finisco la carne lo posso dare anche al mio amico ) Morale della favola per la carne posso andare anche da un'altra parte.
