Ristorante Il Boschetto Follonica — Restaurant in Follonica

Right away will tell you although I'm writing in English, my husband is from Rome so this review is verified by a very picky Italian. We booked this restaurant as the other ones were not open yet for the season, we were not sure as the rating was 4.3, so not super high, and photos of food on Google or Trip advisor were not very inspiring. When we arrived, already the location looked so much better than the photos on Google. The view is nice, it is a big indoor space with huge panoramic windows all around - located directly on the shore - the view is spectacular. The food was what we came there for though. It did not disappoint. We ordered Frittura di Pesce (Deep fried seafood and fish) - it was excellent, Millefoglie Spigola con Carciofi and Tre Carciofi as second - again excellent. But the highlight was dessert, we were not sure if to order it as it was very expensive - 14 euros for a dessert, but people next to us ordered it and it looked delicious so we went for it, and it did not disappoint. We called and reserved a table at this restaurant, but when we arrived, the staff seemed surprised that a reservation was even possible. When we showed them our confirmation, the waiter rudely pointed to a very unpleasant table and said we could sit there.

When I politely asked if we could sit outside, he replied, “Here is reserved for three years!” — which was extremely rude and unnecessary.

It was a very disappointing experience. We had been looking forward to eating here, but the way we were treated was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they improve their attitude...

A tutti quelli che cercano un super matrimonio consiglio IL BOSCHETTO a Follonica (GR). Lo staff è super professionale e allo stesso tempo cordiale, ti fa sentire coccolato più che a casa. Alessandra, la super titolare,è presente, mai invadente, cura i dettagli e rende i sogni reali! La cucina del ristorante è incredibile, genuina e di qualità. Consiglio che la sposa si faccia accompagnare da Alessandro, super titolare, con la moto d'acqua perché lascerà sbalorditi gli ospiti. Lui è veramente molto bravo nelle super manovre con la moto, l'abito di bagna pochissimo e l'emozione è indescrivibile. Complimenti ragazzi !
