AMU Fish Restaurant & Store — Restaurant in Gallipoli

Went here on our last night on Gallipoli with my wife and another couple. Very simple menu but everything that was cooked was made to perfection. The seafood is not only fresh but well prepared. We got three appetizers including the octopus with pesto and burrata, fried tuna steak thar was perfectly rare came with a soy glaze and an incredible herbed mayo and the salmon tartare. The pasta was the next course and we shared a fresh pasta with swordfish pomodoro, linguine pomodoro, and linguine with raw shrimp which were amazing. Lastly we all got fish for our main course including swordfish, sea bass and red snapper all of which were phenomenal..We ended on a single tiramisu which was top 2 that I've ever had. The Cubo di Tonno in tempura was a standout, perfectly crisp and flavorful, while the grilled octopus was to die for; it was tender and wonderfully seasoned. The pasta dishes were simply unbelievable, bursting with fresh flavors that left us wanting more.

What encouraged us to visit this restaurant was a really good vibe and a beautiful view. We sat on a terrace, and ordered a glass of wine. The service was explicit. Stefano took really good care of us serving us some beautiful wine from the Puglia region. Than we met an owner who recommended us the food and it was truly the best pasta we've had in Italy so far. We had a pasta with a catch of the day and some tuna cubes. We finished our culinary journey with tiramisu that exceeded our expectations.
