Cocò Mavì — Restaurant in Gallipoli

Great food, unfortunately the whole experience was ruined by slow service and, I have to say, the worst coffee I have had in Italy. I strongly suspect that the reviews here are paid. Response to the owner:

Firstly, the owner should work on the way he communicates with the public. Secondly, it would be a good idea to read the review he is responding to. Fortunately, the food prepared at this restaurant is on a higher level than the owner's communication skills.

I wrote in the review that the food was very good, so I don't understand the reasoning in the response. I understand that it takes time to prepare a good meal. However, I don't understand what is fresh about bringing water and similar beverages to the table. Sprite, for example, just doesn't grow on trees and can be pulled out of the fridge.

And the coffee was really bad, it tasted like broth from socks, which is why neither I nor any of my friends drank it.

You don't have to respond to the review, just take the feedback and improve...

Great place for the gluten intolerant! I had a wonderful Capricciosa, my non gluten intolerant partner said it tasted like the real thing. If you're into beer, they also have a gf option. The ambience is fine, great for people watching during the passeggiata. And it's great...

Il personale è davvero eccellente: cortese, sorridente e sempre disponibile a dare consigli o a soddisfare ogni richiesta. È raro trovare un servizio così impeccabile, che ti fa sentire a casa.

Ma veniamo al cibo: semplicemente ottimo! Ho avuto modo di assaggiare sia la pizza che alcune specialità della rosticceria, panini e insalatone davvero ottime , e ogni morso è stato un piacere. Ingredienti freschi e di qualità, preparazione curata e sapori autentici che richiamano la tradizione. La pizza è cotta a perfezione, con un impasto leggero e digeribile, mentre le proposte di rosticceria sono sfiziose e irresistibili.

In sintesi, se cercate un posto dove mangiare benissimo, in un ambiente piacevole e con un servizio impeccabile, questa pizzeria rosticceria è assolutamente da non perdere. Ci tornerò...
