L'Ucceria_ Cucina Salentina e carni alla griglia — Restaurant in Gallipoli

This was the most disappointing restaurant experience EVER. We went in as a group of four and were extremely excited to eat a good steak and therefore ready to pay good amount of money. We entered and the problems began with the complicated menu and lack of explanation from the waitresses. We didn’t get told how the menu works and they didn’t present the options to us. The meat is sitting around open and clearly dehydrated as it turned brown. The steak sizes are TINY and u pay up to 40 Euros for a steak without anything added. Again the prizes were not a problem for us so we disregarded the rude, confusing and kinda gross service/looks of the meat. The iceberg reached it’s tip as we got served steaks that were either way too well made or literally raw with literally ZERO spices not even a little bit of salt. You could tell they just took it off the counter slapped it on the grill and gave it to us. The grilled legumes were clearly multiple days old and had been kept in the fridge as they were served cold. We ordered four portions of fries and got one portion of baked potatoes. We mentioned the problems to the server and let me quote his reaction: “If the steak was not good why did u eat it?” Even after explaining that we were hungry and are not trying to get away from paying we just want to give feedback he ignored me walked away and returned with the same legume platter but heated in the microwave now. All the other problems were ignored, dismissed, laughed at and led to the waiters staring, talking about us and being rude to us leading to us leaving after 30MINUTES. Me and my partner recently dined at L’Ucceria Cucina Saletina and was left thoroughly disappointed. We ordered the fillet steak, and to say it was unacceptable would be an understatement. The steak was thin, tough, and lacked any flavor, tasting more like it was cooked rather than properly prepared.

To make matters worse, the service did not match the expectations set by the restaurant's reputation. The staff seemed unwelcoming and inattentive, resulting in slow service that further dampened the experience.

Overall, our visit was a far cry from an enjoyable meal. We spent above 120 euros for two and we left feeling dissatisfied and unlikely to return, as both the food and service were...

Prenoto un tavolo per le 20:30 per me e la mia famiglia,arriviamo servizio cordiale fin qui tutto ok...ordiniamo la grigliata mista,quindi ogni commensale è invitato a recarsi direttamente al banco della carne quindi a turno scegliamo in base ai nostri gusti,ma ci viene spiegato che purtroppo la grigliata viene servita all'interno di un unico vassoio per cui è impossibile capire gli ingredienti differenti dei ripieni e che avremmo dovuto farlo noi, sinceramente è la prima volta che mi succede una cosa del genere,poiché io realmente non so cosa ho mangiato.Ho ordinato ma non so cosa mi sono ritrovata sul piatto,quindi secondo me deve esserci una migliore organizzazione in cucina! Cmq apparte questa cosa la cosa più deludente è stato l'invito a lasciare il tavolo a pochi min alle 22:00 (mentre ancora stavamo finendo di mangiare) perché gli occorreva per il secondo turno (che a noi nessuno aveva spiegato durante la prenotazione!)usando queste testuali parole: dovete lasciare il tavolo perché alle 22 inizia il secondo turno!. Per me sono cose dell'altro mondo,ma forse qui in puglia è una cosa normale perché ci è capitata la stessa cosa in un altro ristorante ma era ferragosto e quindi ci poteva stare (oltretutto ci hanno offerto amari e caffè x scusarsi),quindi detto questo che sinceramente condivido fino a un certo punto,consiglio vivamente chi fa questo lavoro che c'è modo e modo di dire le cose,bastava dire ragazzi chiedo scusa se vi metto fretta, volete aggiungere qualcosa all'ordine come un dolce o un caffè perché tra poco inizia il secondo turno e ci serve il tavolo!cosi aveva tutto un sapore diverso,ma la freddezza e senza un minimo di tatto da parte del cameriere ci ha proprio fatto sentire "cacciati" eppure in 4 + due bimbe piccole abbiamo pagato 160€ di conto,non proprio spiccioli.
