We stayed in this lovely B&B / restaurant with rooms above for 6 nights in August with 2 teenagers, in 2 interconnecting rooms - one entrance into a lobby with a bathroom and 2 rooms off it. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, the airconditioning worked fine (I would have liked it to go colder than 21 degrees which is as low as it could be set - but that's my preference, everyone else was happy!) The hotel is right off the main square, and you can sit outside for breakfast with a view of the lake and daily life. All the staff were really helpful, friendly, they knew who we were and had our coffee preferences off pat by day 2. Breakfast was traditional Italian, and quite simple with rolls, cheese, ham, fruit, yoghurt, tomatoes and mozzerella, cereal, croissants and cake. There are no other "facilities" here, it is a restaurant and B&B, but you are right in the heart of the town, and there are shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and the lake within a stone's throw (it gave the kids some freedom to go and wander). As it is set in the pedestrian zone there is no parking - we parked in the car park behind the bus station for Euro 10 per day, this is a 5 minute walk away. We also found free parking further up from the bus station - maybe a 10 min walk. We ate here a couple of nights - I have reviewed it separately, the food was great and they have a vegan menu which you can ask for (menus are also on their website) if you want veggie...
Read moreWe have recently returned after a short stay at Casa Lady 3* hotel, which we would highly recommend for its location. The rooms we felt were drab. There were no waste bins in rooms apart from the bathroom, the shower door had no handle not to mention it was very small! Toilet door key was so bent making it difficult to close which made it quite awkward when having interlocking rooms!! Linen was clean despite having holes in, but only one pillow was available. It was extremely noisy at night which would continue in the early hours of the morning. Live music plays until 10pm which was loud but accounted for. Staff however were incredibly loud when packing up until early hours in the morning, shouting at each other and dragging chairs along when packing away. They really weren't very mindful of paying guests. Breakfast was very basic and unappetising. The fruit was not fresh and the bananas were black!! There was one member of staff on at breakfast each morning which meant you had to wait a long time for food to be replenished. The scrambled eggs were cold and the cakes looked like they had been made weeks ago. Staff were rude on a few occasions. One member of staff had a very bad attitude when we asked for some advice on getting a taxi, it was very clear they did not want to help and just wanted to tidy up for the evening, despite still being open.
Overall, we felt that the accommodation and service received was of a...
Read morewe booked Casa Lady through Booking.com, and in all honesty did not know what to expect as the photos were not really indicative, but since we had to stay for one night only, we did not particularly care.||When we arrived the surprise was very pleasant: the hotel is located right on the lake, easily accessible and with the possibility of driving your car very close to it (if you have luggage to unload).||Extremely available and kind staff, very good location and really cut rooms. Unfortunately there is no lift, so luggage might be an issue for some.||If you look for parking, park in the heart of Garda, right behind the station. Only 10 Euros for the entire night.||A message to some patrons who are obviously not used to travelling in Italy. Do not leave bad reviews if you have no idea how things...
