Osteria al Porto — Restaurant in Garda

Looks can be deceiving and I simply cannot understand the hype behind this place. It is the worst meal I had during my trip in Garda. If the picture of scrambled-eggs-Carbonara won't convince you then I don't know what will.

The staff was kind enough to find us a table without booking which was really appreciated. However that kindness ended here. For the entire duration of the meal I have never received more dismissive and almost passive aggressive service. From bumping into us multiple times, almost spilling drinks, to throwing hand towels at the table without even looking or acknowledging us, to not even checking on us. After the waiter collected the almost untouched plate and finally asked how the meal was, there was no reaction or even an acknowledgement of my poor feedback. Aside from extremely eggy and stodgy carbonara, we received bland seafood pasta. At least that was cooked well but it was tasteless. My favourite part was us leaving. I'm sorry Garda, I just don't get it. Plenty of other nice...

Questo posto è da segnare come tappa fissa!!!!! Intanto so che la prima cosa che penserete guardando le foto è CHISSÀ QUALE CONTO!! E invece NO!!! Il super piatto a 2 piani di pesce crudo freschissimo contente ostriche, King crubs, scampi di tutti i tipi, aragoste e un sacco di altra roba compreso un sashimi super fresco di spada, salmone e tonno...viene solo 50 euro. Ovviamente ne hanno anche di più piccoli ma soprattutto di più grandi!!!!che proverò la prossima volta e vi aggiornerò. Il ristorante non prende prenotazioni, ma non ha dei camerieri, ha un intera truppa da fare invidia al miglior esercito che rende il servizio impeccabile e veloce, quindi anche il ricambio dei tavoli è super rapido. In più il titolare, un ragazzo giovane e molto simpatico cerca sempre di trovare soluzioni per tutti. UNA COSA INCREDIBILE è il vino bianco della casa, come avrete notato dal mio account giro tanto per ristoranti, e di vino bianco me ne sono fatta un idea, questo è da tenere in considerazione al pari di bottiglie di Nosiola, per spiegarvi il genere. Abbiamo preso anche un primo più per ingordigia che per fame.... Dei tagliolini all astice pazzeschi e qui ci sono da dire 2 cose: La prima che arriva il cameriere dalla cucina con la padella e manteca davanti a voi 😍 La seconda che la pasta è piena di pesce, non come molti ristoranti che mettono un pezzetto di astice e poi tutta pasta al pomodoro. Qui esattamente l opposto in più sono allergica ad aglio e cipolla e si sa che nel pesce si mette l aglio e che nei ristoranti è già tutto pronto e le sfigate come a me non mangiano nulla. No non è stato così, cucina espressa senza aglio e i sapori li sento ancora in bocca nonostante sia passato qualche giorno. I dolci purtroppo non avevamo più spazi per provarli ma vi aggiornerò la prossima volta 😃💪 Di tutto quello che scritto sopra a voi interessa una cosa ...il conto....in 3 con La portata da 50 euro enorme di crudo 2 primi super abbondanti che abbiamo diviso in 3 e non siamo riusciti a finirli 2 litri di vino Caffè e amari (offerti da loro) Abbiamo aspetto 150 euro ....ovvero 50 euro a testa per aver mangiato fronte lago del pesce freschissimo!!!! QUESTO POSTO È SUPER CONSIGLIATO ✌️😃 e poi è adatto a tutti e tutto, anniversario...cene di famiglia...cene con amici .......

Absolutely fabulous place to eat in Garda! We came for a lunch on a very sunny Thursday afternoon in May. We chose to sit inside - just to the open edge of the restaurant to avoid the heat down by the lakeside. First place we've been to where we all commented on how comfortable the seats were!

Anyway to the food. This place is clearly specialized in seafood and it does not disappoint. I started with a light caprese and the had the mussels and scallop plate as main. Incredible. The seafood platters that were coming out to other tables look spectacular!

Kids had the usual pasta and pizza, which were both very good. Nice bit of novelty with the pasta being plated up next to the table.

Staff very friendly, helpful and speak English well. Highly...
