Cortén — Restaurant in Garda

When 2 white couples are able to sit down freely before you, and then you’re told there is a 30 minute wait when you ask for a table (there were various tables available), you can only assume the reason is because the colour of your skin as you look around and see the restaurant contains white customers only. I am disappointed about how unbothered the staff were to accommodate us along with how rude they were to my husband and me. Vi racconto la mia esperienza in questo splendido locale, arriviamo, ci accomodiamo nei tavolini all'esterno e dopo un po' arriva il cameriere. Ci preoccupiamo subito di informarlo che abbiamo un tempo limitato perché abbiamo il traghetto che ci deve portare a Bardolino, comunicando tempistiche e dicendo che abbiamo 45 minuti di tempo per mangiare e chiediamo se è possibile ordinare 2 calici, un tagliere di salumi e formaggi e patate fritte. Ci viene detto che non c'è nessun problema. CI FIDIAMO! I calici ci sono arrivati nell'immediato. Dopo 20 minuti mi sono recata all'interno dicendo che non saremmo riuscite a consumare il pasto se non fosse arrivato nell'immediato. Mi è stato detto 5 minuti ( ma davvero ci vuole mezz'ora per affettare dei salumi e dei formaggi e far friggere delle patatine?). Torno fuori... informo la cameriera che se non fosse arrivato in 5 minuti avremmo pagato i calici e saremmo andate via. Passano 5 minuti abbondanti e mi reco all'interno del locale per pagare i calici, mi dicono che devo pagare tutto, rispondo che va bene, ma che mi diano tutto da asporto. Arriva il titolare, scortese, maleducato e arrogante e dice che in un ristorante non si deve entrare se il tempo è limitato. Rispondo che noi siamo state chiarissime nel dire che avevamo poco tempo e mi sarei aspettata più onestà nel dire che non ce l'avrebbero fatta. Il tutto è stato GETTATO in scatole di plastica e dei formaggi nemmeno l'ombra!

walked past this restaurant every day and finally went in on our final night in garda, should have done it earlier the food was fantastic the staff were wonderful and so helpful especially Arianna who help with our order when we had over estimated how many dishes we needed. Corten is a fantastic restaurant and we would recommend going if you are staying in Garda or go for lunch if you go on a day trip from elsewhere on the lake. reasonable prices,large...
