Brisas Peruanas — Restaurant in Genoa

I love ceviche. When I saw this on The Fork app, I was enticed by the first photo ~ ceviche. I booked a reservation for that evening. It’s across from the harbor and easy to find. I ordered the ceviche (surprise) with Thode’s that I would order a second. No way. Not only was it the best ceviche I’ve had, it was the most ceviche I’ve ever had.

The service was stellar. Very genuine. I love it when wait staff are actually grateful you’re there. Maybe because it’s a family owned and run restaurant.

I left the restaurant and after about five minutes I received a call from them telling me that I’d left my jacket there. Thanks to The Fork app, they had my number.

A hidden gem with authentic Peruvian cuisine. Definitely the best in Genova, and one of the best Peruvian restaurants I tried in Europe. The menu is very reflective of how it is back in Peru. It is very well thought of with a lot of options to combine dishes to maximize your food experience. The fried fish is impeccable and your the fish melts in your mouth. Combining with some of the most flavorful salsas, the whole experience is transformational. To top it all, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming to all customers. Mi è stato consigliato da un paio di amici, devo essere sincero? Ero molto scettico. Essendo molto legato alla cucina e alle tradizioni italiane, molto raramente mi reco in ristoranti con cucina foreste. Nonostante ciò, ho deciso di provare la cucina peruviana, mai assaggiata. Chiamo per telefono per prenotare e mi risponde un uomo, penso il titolare, con accento, ovviamente, palesemente sudamericano, ma che parla un italiano a dir poco impeccabile. Prenoto un tavolo per quattro alle 20 45 e, mi scuso ancora ora, siamo arrivati quasi mezz ora in ritardo.. Locale magnifico, luminoso, grosso bancone all entrata, bagno che manco mia madre lo pulisce cosi bene. Il locale consta di una sala ampia, da una decina di tavoli (forse di più) e una magnifica tavernetta piu isolata comunicante con il salone, arredata con una serie innunerevole di bottiglie da collezione. tocco CHIC!! complimenti!!! Ci sediamo al tavolo precedentemente prenotato, locale metà pieno. Panico. Non conoscevamo neanche un piatto, al chè decidiamo di ordinare sotto consiglio del titolare. In quattro ordiniamo due antipasti, e tre piatti. Piatti abbondattissimi, eravamo perplessi, pieni zeppi, ma super soddisfatti! In piu, come pre aperitivo ci sono atate forniti degli stuzzichini, mais gigante fritto. A dir poco ECCEZIONALE!! Se non ricordo male si chiamava Canchita.. Pazzesche, veramente. Finiamo di mangiare, tutto a base di pesce, tutto buonissimo. Ci offrono giro di amari e caffè. Ragazzi, prezzo finale da osteria, qualità da ristorante. Purtroppo posso dare solo 5 stelle, ma se potessi ne darei 6.. Tornerò sicuramente,...
