Osteria La Terrazza — Restaurant in Greve in Chianti

First side everything was looking great. But after 5 minutes everything turned around 180 degrees. The waiter was making mistakes, forgot our drinks. When we ordered food, he was very impatient and was looking away and talking to other guests in the restaurant. After 45 minutes they came only with one starter, clearly they forgot to enter our order in to their POS system. No apologies were made. When we asked how long it was going to take, the waiter answered 2minutes (actually it was 20 min). After receiving the bill we noticed that theirs were some mistakes made. After confronting the waiter with those mistakes, he was a bit angry and threw the correct bill on to the table. Besides that, the food quality was blend and no taste at all. Very slow, non-professional service, although we were the only guests when we arrived on a Wednesday at ca. 14:00. We had to remind the waiter of our orders not only once, but twice. When the food finally arrived after ca. 45 mins, we were disapointed not only be the relatively small size of our dishes relatively to their price, but also by the salads not being completely fresh, containing quite a number of salad leaves that started to decay on their rims.. Adressing this issue with the patron, she replied that the salad was from this morning and that it was difficult to keep it fresh given the heat in Tuscany in August, rather than to apologize. We (2 couples) enjoyed a perfect lunch in a glorious location overlooking the square in Greve. We had some booking issues of our own making as our reservation originally included 4 others whose plans changed last minute. But the staff were understanding and we quickly had a table for 4 prepared. We all had secondi - 2 x beef cheeks, 1 x lamb chops and 1 x pork ribs. Very very fair prices for excellent quality meats.
