Ristorante Il Portico — Restaurant in Greve in Chianti

This is a message to the tourist currently considering this restaurant. Please choose anywhere else on this piazza. All of the Italian guests that arrived after us were served before us. The sense created by the waitresses was that they were inconvenienced by our presence, at least when they were willing to speak to us. The chef at least did seem to care about his work, the food was ok, and he served it to us as the waitresses appeared otherwise engaged. When we asked for the bill there was no one left in the restaurant- the waitress acknowledged us but continued to clean tables and made it very clear we were on her clock. Nice location in Piazza Matteotti, Greve...but if you want a good pizza do NOT go here! Absolute Worst pizza we had in Italy on our entire 2 weeks we were there...I have had better prepackaged frozen pizza's...we were so very disappointed. Maybe the other food is better...I don't know....but if you want a great pizza , go elsewhere. They advertise pizzeria on the front of the restaurant, which is very deceptive when they dont make the dough fresh and it is prepackaged with ingredients thrown on top....Also, the waitstaff was not...

Dreadful service and poor quality outweigh the beautiful location. Waitress was slow and rude to us and other guests, resulting in most of the tables complaining and a couple leaving after waiting to be served for very long time.
