Fratelli D''Angelo — Restaurant in La Spezia

Not even 1 star worthy!! Visited wednesday night with 8 friends. We ordered the food and drinks. After a while the waitress brought the first two dishes, pizzas for the kids. About 10-15 min. later the next two dishes arrived. Another 10 min. later the next dishes arrived, and finally after another 10 min. the last two dishes arived to our table. It was lasagne and it was ice cold!!! At that time some of us had almost finished our meal. Of course we complained to the waitress, and she took them back to the kitchen to order two new ones......we thought! But no - after another 10 min. she served the same two plates with the same two pieces of lasagne! We could see that, because there were missing the two corners which were cut off the first time it was served. And it was only lukewarm! At this point I demanded to talk to the responsible chef. Trying to explain him in first english, then german and finally french that this was not the way to run a serious restaurant, he only spoke italian and spanish!? After a long discussion with a waiter speaking english I told them that we would only pay for the drinks, since we were not able to eat at the same time, the same two dishes with lasagne was served cold twice and they didn't even bother to excuse that! The owner of the restaurant was then involved and she finally understood my point of view and agreed to only charge us for the drinks and the covers. What a disappointing end to a beautiful day in the sunny 5 Terre with a bunch of happy friends. The food we ordered, one was the 22euro pasta which was most expensive on the menu, hoped for some good seafood as per the menu description- 1 shrimp was all it had, and pasta is very salty and average. My son ordered pizza and ravioli, both were suspected been microwaved as the ravioli was hot in the middle (taste pretty bland), pizza was chewy, and not tasty at all. It’s our last meal in Italy before leaving and by far the worst experience in Italy ever. We had such happy fancies before our meal, then turned upside down to biggest frowns after eating (not much of it)Can’t believe my bad luck. Hope others won’t make...

We were hoping for some good authentic Italian food, but our food was extremely bland. Our meals tasted like they came out of a freezer or a can. We really regretted eating our meals, and we're so disappointed with the quality of food and the terrible service. The table was dirty (hair and previous food stains). And when they gave us the bill, it was just a bunch of scribbled numbers with no explanations of charges. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone,...
