Friggitoria Pane e Tulipani La Spezia — Restaurant in La Spezia

I can only recommen this place! We have eaten here twice during our stay in La Spezia. First we tried out the fried dishes and could sit outside. We got our food quickly, but the food was freshly prepared, everything was freshly fried for us. The fries, onion rings were excellent. I had one of my best Gin Tonic here. Next day we were sitting inside as we arrived later during the evening and the place was already packed outside. We tried some pastas out and their pasta with pesto was really delicious. Worse meal in our 25 day trip of Europe. I ordered the Pasta al Ragu and it was nothing like the photo. Watery soup-like liquid on the plate with sparse meat substance. Male counter person came to take order from us and went to assist table of 4 that arrived after us before finished taking our order. Woman wait person condescending and would not acknowledge me at all. NOT American friendly.

Food was not even basic.. How on earth u can spoil simplest dishes? Pasta carbonara & pesto was disgusting.. No taste.. I supposed to read reviews before ordering. Souces made with powders or by kindergarten child. My 16 yo nephew makes it better.. Shame!!! & eating with wooden fork & knife is a nightmare & they charge for that 1 euro, it's really a pathetic place. The worst food I experienced in Italy. Sad!!!...
