We walked up to the few steps leading to the Castle in a garden and found this cosy restaurant run by two french ladies that were super kind and welcoming! Fresh flower arrangements on the tables and vintage glasses and tableware gave us respite from the dread of meaningless consumption and homologation. The menù was delightful with dishes that showed care and mastery. A mix of Ligurian and French so refreshing! Absolutely delighted at the figs salad and the Brandacujun. In my mind, among the best in La Spezia, an absolute must! Wonderful for apero, too. Delicious food, good wine, beautiful environment with surrounding garden, sea ahead, and castle backdrop, with a staff that truly cares about their community + restaurant. We stopped here by chance and immediately felt the special atmosphere. Apolline cooks from the heart and you can feel it in every bite. She uses local ingredients.
