This was easily our favourite meal in La Spezia- a gorgeous friendly passionate man front of house, an interesting menu filled with stories and great quality honest food made deliciously. The ambience was beautiful, home-y, charming and warm and was the most inviting intimate space of all restaurants in La Spezia. The cacio e pepe scampi was an incredible highlight, as was the quality of seafood in the seafood platter- everything really was honest, beautiful food made with love. First night it was fully booked so we tried go book for second night and we are so glad we booked. The food was amazing, the owner was very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was beautiful. Everything was great! We spent relatively higher amount but it's because we ate 3 dishes and a bottle of wine per person. Normally the price range was quite good for the amount and quality.

Tuna tartare was soo fresh and nice! Seafood plate was very simple but tasty. Purple gnocchis were the best, and semifreddo with limoncello was fingerlickingly good! My husband also got the wild boar which was also very tender and tasty. Kudos...

I wish I could leave a decent review. We wanted to try this restaurant based on the reviews but were turned away two nights in a row. The first night we arrived at 9 pm and were told the restaurant was fully booked - it is a small place and they close at 10. The second night we arrived at 8 pm, a half hour after they open, and were turned away again. There was a table open, but it seems like this is a very small restaurant with one person running it.
