Trattoria Pizzeria "Dal Baffo" — Restaurant in Lazise

Tonight we decided to have dinner outside and unfortunately we were left with a bitter taste in our mouths at the end.

We ordered a deep fried seafood plate, margherita pizza and I ordered wild boar stew with polenta. The pizza was really below average and didn’t have much flavor at all but rather felt like a pizza I bought at the store and reheated in the oven. The boar stew was just average and my expectations were a much higher than what was served...

Most disappointing was the seafood plate which was so gooey; when biting into the calamari it was crunch on the outside but the inside so gooey and rather dissatisfying. All I tasted was oil and no seafood freshness as one usually should.

Personally, I don’t feel this place is deserving of 4,5 start at all!

Unfortunately, I don’t have pictures to prove but I highly advise you not to waste your money here. We would rather pay more and have food...

Food nice, service mediocre, atmosphere Italian. Nice watching pizza being made in front of you! By the time we went out there was quite a number of people waiting for a table.

Since the owner is offended, let me elaborate on mediocre service: we asked a few questions about the menu and did not receive the answers, drinks were left unopened at the table, we were served meals at different times so half of the table was eating and other half was waiting. We asked to see the menus again and never received one. So there you go - karma ......

Il posto ci è stato consigliato ma...pur essendoci andati per ben 2 volte, non siamo neanche riusciti a sederci in quanto il cameriere addetto all'accettazione 2 sere fa ci ha detto che c'era da attendere per un tavolo per 5 persone 40 min e quando gli ho chiesto di poter prenotare per ritornare successivamente mi ha risposto che non prendono prenotazioni e frettolosamente mi ha liquidato, mentre stasera ci ha detto che avremmo dovuto attendere 40 min, (non ci ha chiesto neanche il nome per la prenotazione) siamo stati lì ad attendere per tutto il tempo ed anche oltre, nel frattempo si sono liberati alcuni tavoli esterni al locale che il cameriere ha prontamente dato ad altri clienti stranieri (i suoi preferiti direi) e quando abbiamo visto che c'era un tavolo libero da circa 15 minuti gli abbiamo chiesto di darlo a noi ma ci ha detto che era prenotato da 2 settimane prima e quando gli abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni ci ha risposto testualmente"sto lavorando non posso perdere tempo" dandoci le spalle...ma come una sera ci dice che non prendono prenotazioni e due sere dopo i tavoli erano tutti prenotati?!? Probabilmente..per non dire sicuramente la discriminante era la nazionalità italiana che dal suo punto di vista forse è meno remunerativa. Aggiungo anche che qualunque sarà la sua risposta a questa recensione, non sarà mai sufficiente a giustificare un atteggiamento arrogante e tracotante come il suo e soprattutto sconsiglio agli italiani di andarci....mi fa piacere aver da voi ricevuto addirittura una duplice risposta, ma vi confermo che in ben 2 occasioni ci avete comunicato che in questo periodo non prendete...
