0 STARS! This is the worst service ever! We went there 3 times. They are always CLOSED which clearly says on GOOGLE THEY ARE OPEN until 15:00. But they already closed at 14:00 which is not correctly indicated in what google says.

Service? RUDE PEOPLE AND VERY AGGRESSIVE! We kindly asked if we can seat at the table and they confirmed. We sat and then one waiter LITERALLY chased us away, saying they are overbooked so we went to the restaurant next to it which was WAY BETTER! We observed that they had to be exact 16 seats and tables available and we were there (next to it) for two hours and has not been occupied at all!

Second time, THEY ARE CLOSED AGAIN!!! At freaking 12 midday! On a saturday! Which was frustrating, considering it’s a weekend and there’s lots of cruise passengers coming by..

Third time, I GAVE IT A CHANCE “AGAIN”. Literally as I went to the entrance to asked if they were open, THE WAITER LITERALLY WALKED PASS THROUGH ME AND EVERYONE WERE STARING AND SHOOKED SINCE IT WAS RUDE OF HIM TO DO TO A CUSTOMER. It was exaclt 14:00 so I said I have an hour to eat there before they close! But I asked him again and clearly said “WE ARE CLOSED” AGGRESSIVELY!

Ho prenotato con The FORK il giorno stesso per la cena. Giorno 31. Siamo arrivati all’orario prestabilito, quando siamo entrati non ci è stato chiesto niente, i camerieri si sono messi a preparare un tavolo pensando fossimo con la signora entrata poco prima di noi, solo dopo averci detto “Sedetevi” in modo abbastanza sbrigativo ho fatto presente che noi avevamo un’altra prenotazione.

Ci sediamo e poco dopo veniamo serviti dal proprietario in modo sgarbato scortese scocciato, quasi come se gli dessimo fastidio ad essere lì. Poco dopo ci vengono serviti gli antipasti buoni ma non eccezionali. Poi accade qualcosa che in tutta la mia vita non era mai successa: mentre ancora sto finendo l’antipasto arriva il primo portato sempre dal proprietario che in modo davvero maleducato mi apostrofa con “che faccio devo aspettare qui?” Al che con un certo imbarazzo mio e del mio compagno finisco in fretta (roba da ingozzarsi). Pensiamo sia semplicemente un piccolo errore della cucina e….invece no! Con il secondo piatto stessa cosa, riusciamo al pelo a finire il primo che subito ci viene dato il cacciucco. La sensazione è quella che siamo un fastidio da liquidare molto velocemente (forse per far posto ad altri). Ci viene detto che la cucina è molto veloce (?!!?!). Niente che giustifichi l’ingozzare i clienti come galline. Come se non bastasse non è affatto chiara la questione della scontistica che si può avere con The Fork (il cacciucco non è soggetto a sconto, ma il resto FORSE si), alla fine ho pagato il prezzo pieno (bah?!).

Al di là del conto, il cibo è comunque buono (l’unica stella è proprio per quello) saporito e il cacciucco buono. Per il resto il personale, proprietario soprattutto di una maleducazione infinita, se non ha più voglia di lavorare che se ne stia a casa. Decisamente Sconsigliato sotto quasi tutti i...

Una piacevole scoperta, tipico locale livornese, ben gestito da “Beppe”, brava persona e decano del settore. Se siete alla ricerca di un locale caratteristico, vicino al porto, con gente livornese “vera”, schietta e con la tipica energia che li caratterizza, questo è il posto per voi. Prenotate perché potrebbe essere un Problema senza, già il lunedì tutto esaurito, il locale non è molto grande, ma d’estate raddoppia i coperti con i tavoli fuori nel marciapiede della piazza; fra i palazzi storici da una parte ed il porto mediceo dall’altra si respira la genuinità del cibo livornese. I prezzi sono giusti ed il servizio è veloce, il cibo è buono e si può mangiare sia pesce fresco che menu di terra. Noi siamo arrivati senza preavviso e “Beppe” The big boss ci ha sistemato ugualmente, grazie Beppe, ci hai salvato in extremis! Locale chiuso il mercoledì

Book because it could be a problem without, already sold out on Mondays, the place is not very large, but in the summer it doubles the seats with the tables outside on the sidewalk of the square; between the historic buildings on one side and the Medici port on the other, you can breathe the genuineness of Livorno food.
