RISTORANTE PIZZERIA FRESCO — Restaurant in Lu Palau/Palau

We ate at this restaurant about a week ago and both the service and the food at this restaurant were very poor. We are writing this review to warn other future customers as we found the reviews for this restaurant to be very misleading and questioned whether they were written by real customers. We were hesitant to visit this restaurant due to someone standing out front trying to usher us in (the hallmark of an tourist restaurant in Italy) but we looked past this due to the positive reviews (4.5 stars at the time) and made a reservation for a future night of our stay in Palau. When we arrived for our reservation, the restaurant was empty at 8:30 which we thought was odd but didn’t worry too much about it. We ordered the Chef Salad app with shrimp and linguine and clams for the entree. We also ordered the amatriciana pizza. The shrimp in the salad was frozen and tasted foul. It was one of those rare moments where it felt like continuing to finish the dish would guarantee food poisoning so we ceased eating the app. We then had the linguine with clams which wasn’t very flavorful but was much better than the salad. The amatriciana pizza was very tasty however and we enjoyed it. The next morning though, my wife and I woke up and both spent most of the morning in the bathroom (I am not sure which dish caused this but at least one of the dishes had tainted food since we were both affected). In addition, the waiter was a very strange guy from who said he was from Napoli. He was very enthusiastic which we appreciated but so much so that he was making people feel uncomfortable. We actually witnessed two other tables leave while we ate which I had never seen happen at a restaurant before. When our meal was done, the waiter cleaned and reset our table while my wife was still sitting down which was also a new experience for us. On the way out, the waiter high fived me which I thought was funny but also not very professional and a bit tone deaf given that things did not seem to be going well for this restaurant from what we witnessed. I hope that this restaurant can work to improve itself, but all of the evidence we collected during our experience leads us to question whether the Google reviews to-date are authentic. We hope that future customers will take notice of our feedback and wait some time before deciding to give this...

An alle Deutschen Gäste aber auch die anderen Gäste: Hände weg von diesem Laden (möchte gern Restaurant)!!! Unfreundliche teilweise schreihender Kellner Essen vergessen und dann das falsche gebracht, nach Nachfrage rumschreihend und wild rum gestekuliert. Auf die eigentliche Vorspeise wurde fast eine Stunde gewartet ( allein das ist unverzeihlich) Er verspottete meine Freundin und unterstellte ihr sie würde Lügen, obwohl ich bei Rückfrage, wo unser Essen bleibt nochmal explizit gesagt habe, was wir bestellten. Auch das andere Essen (Spaghetti) war geschmacklich sehr schlecht, die Souce erinnerte mich an Ketchup oder Schulkantinen Essen.

Außerdem sind überall Kameras totale Überwachung - Ambiente geht gegen null. An der Kasse beim Bezahlung lässt sich ein Blick in die Küche verschaffen, wenn die Tür offen ist, was nicht sehr einladend aussah (Chaos), Details wollte ich gar nicht wissen.

Der Kellner hat null Toleranz seine Fehler einzusehen, Hauptsache verkaufen und aufdrängeln, das beginnt schon auf der Straße, wenn der Typ die Leute an Quatscht. (Aber ihr werdet es sehen, Kundenaqise ist wichtiger als wartende Gäste) Am besten den laden umgehen.

Fazit: Geld und Zeitverschwendung, aus einem schönen Tag kann durch den Besuch dieses Lokal eine echte Unwohlsituation werden. So ein Verhalten ist mir noch nie untergekommen, wir fühlen uns schlecht behandelt und und sehr unrespekvoll. Dieses Rumdiskutieren und unhöfliche Verhalten, selbst andere Gäste schüttelnden diw Köpfe... Hätten wir mehr Zeit gehabt, hätten wir Uns noch mehr beschwert und den inhaber gefordert oder an dritte Gewand, vor allem wie sein Verhalten gegenüber meiner Partnerin war. Nochmal Hände weg von dem Laden - ein gut gemeinter Rat !

To all German guests and others: Stay away from this place!!! Rude and at times yelling waiter. They forgot our food and then brought the wrong dish. When we asked about it, he started shouting and gesturing wildly. We waited almost an hour for the actual starter. No willingness to admit his mistakes—just focused on selling and pushing more. He mocked my girlfriend and accused her of lying, even though I had clearly repeated our order when asking where our food was. The other dish (spaghetti) was also very poor in taste—the sauce reminded me of ketchup or school cafeteria food.

There are cameras everywhere—total surveillance. The atmosphere is practically nonexistent. At the checkout, if the kitchen door is open, you can catch a glimpse inside—and it looked anything but inviting.

Conclusion: A waste of money and time. What should have been a pleasant day turned into a truly uncomfortable experience because of this restaurant. I’ve never encountered such behavior before—we felt badly treated!

A tutti gli ospiti tedeschi e non solo: State lontani da questo posto!!! Cameriere scortese e a tratti urlante. Si sono dimenticati il nostro cibo e poi hanno portato il piatto sbagliato. Alla richiesta di chiarimenti, ha iniziato a urlare e gesticolare in modo selvaggio. Abbiamo aspettato quasi un’ora per l’antipasto ordinato. Nessuna volontà di ammettere i propri errori—solo interesse a vendere e insistere. Ha deriso la mia ragazza e l’ha accusata di mentire, anche se io avevo ripetuto chiaramente l’ordine quando ho chiesto dove fosse il nostro cibo. Anche l’altro piatto (spaghetti) era molto deludente—la salsa sembrava ketchup o cibo da mensa scolastica.

Telecamere ovunque—sorveglianza totale. L’atmosfera è praticamente inesistente. Alla cassa, se la porta della cucina è aperta, si può dare un’occhiata dentro—e non è affatto invitante.

Conclusione: Una perdita di tempo e denaro. Una giornata che doveva essere piacevole si è trasformata in un’esperienza davvero spiacevole a causa di questo locale. Non mi era mai capitato un comportamento simile—ci siamo sentiti...

The service at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. The staff lacked professionalism, the wait for food was excessively long, and there was an inappropriate attempt to upsell additional dishes seemingly by pretending not to understand English, which created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere for guests.As someone who has visited Italy many times and enjoyed excellent dining experiences across the country, this visit stands out as one of the most regrettable. I sincerely regret choosing to dine here and can confidently say that I will not be returning in the future. I regret to say that I cannot recommend this restaurant. The service provided by certain staff members did not meet acceptable standards. In particular, a tall, large-built male staff member displayed inappropriate behavior and a lack of attentiveness toward customers.
