Again who is rating these restuarants? For the sake of Gordon Ramsey would you all go to a restaurant with proper service and food. So we can all agree that 4.5 star restaurant is amazing and this is not. I am not sure if it's lost in translation but in Japan even though I dont know Japanese they are amazing at providing amazing service even at buffets. Europe post modernization has fallen apart all standards in Italy have gone out the window.
Italy we need an intervention.
Our server was cool, a Cuban guy, I travelled a lot in Florida and they have a lot of Cuban Americans that make amazing food and coffee and especially mojitos. Anyway he was great and this is not a review on his service.
Again 163 euros and completely disappointing.
Food was unflavored and no passion in it. Things slapped on a plate to make it seem like good presentation but completely disappointing. Lacking execution and technique. Our tomatoes were bad. Seriously bad tomatoes?
Tomorrow will be the last chance for Italy to redem itself going to a Michelin star restaurant in Amalfi, let's see what happens.
The best thing on the menu was the cheese plate that had the world's worst presentation.
The other best thing about the restuarant was the view that only exists a little past sunset. After that it's a pitch black wall.
Italy might make Lamborghini's but when it comes to crafting food they are a Cherry (Chinese car).
Will not be coming back.
It seem as though the chef saw pictures online on how to do a presentation of food but never found out why lol. Completely horrible experience for the price.
The LA or NYC this restaurant would never exist but since they know you all are tourists they have you.
Also whoever is giving this restaurant a 5 star rating is either paid by the restuarant or has never eaten at an actual restaurant...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience with the most unpleasant service overall in all départements. Starting from the rudest valet parking guy ever, sending us to park in the village 10min walk away under the rain while plenty of space were available. Once reached, after waiting 5 min without being noticed by storming waiters passing here and there! Finally, we managed to get seated when an oily paper bag of bread was literally thrown on our empty table with no plates or cutleries. When we requested them, the waiter rolled his eyes in the air and walked away! The sommelier lady came then and started to give us attitude once we told her that we didn’t want mineral water! After deciding to chose without her recommendation a bottle of Prosecco worth 75euro, all over sudden, she dropped the grumpy face and became slightly more pleasant. Same thing for our rude waiter, once we ordered our dish for 100euro, he became very friendly! I didn’t know or anticipated that you needed to splash your money to just be treated like a guest! The food was actually extremely basic with very poor skills in the presentation, never mind the questionable choice of ingredients combination. The view that was suppose to be spectacular, is actually invisible at night, specially seating in the back middle table of the balcony. This was the worst dinning experience I had in Italy, and trust me, I travel a lot there and a huge fan of the culture and food. Not worth a single euro we spend! I hope everyone can be aware of that...
Read moreWe live in Toronto Canada, our Daughter got married about two months ago in Italy, the reception took place at Torre Normanna, Maiori, on the Amalfi Coast. It's almost hard to find the right words to describe this experience, it was like dream story out of a book, imagine, the marriage celebration took place in a 13th century Cathedral in Minori about two kilometers from Maiori, afterwords about 100 of us got on a chartered bus for about a ten minute ride to Torre Normanna, this is a 700 plus year old castle sitting right on the sea shore, we were greeted by Daniele the owner, and his amazing place, and with his outstanding staff, inviting us to taste delicious entrees at the many different stations that were set up everywhere, and to the traditional Neapolitan music by five very talented musicians, we were joined by the Bride and Groom not long after which arrived to Torre Normanna by boat, they were greeted by staff to a table for two set up just for them by the water. Afterwords we all went inside to an amazing out of this world dinner dinner, local wines and local desserts by the famous pasticceria Sal De Riso, ending the evening withe the Bridal cake, something very different from traditional cakes, this is called "Delizia Al Limone", and finally Fireworks in the sea close to the Tower, it was an unforgettable experience, and this was all organized by Daniele, the owner, he took care of everything, this place is amazing and I recommend it...
