I walked passed this restaurant and it looked amazing - very up market and new when many things in Sicily are old and in need of repairs - my hotel suggested I go to this hotel and I was not disappointed

There is no English menus (but I ordered in my bad italian ) but the menu is in line so if you get stuck just use your translator

It is the only place I have been ever in Italy where bread (or some type of toast crackers) has not been served with your meal

I had a lovely glass of Rosso vino (rose wine) and pasta with tomatoes - Pasta al pomodoro is a pasta dish typically prepared with fresh tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, basil and salt - it was very good

Dinner cost was 16 Euros so reasonable - the pasta was cooked perfectly and the wine excellent

The staff did not have much English but you will get by - you could get amazing pizza and other really great meals as they specialize in both pizza and steak

Have to admit, I was very nervous after reading the reviews on this restaurant. Very true from other reviews that most of the servers don’t speak English but then again I don’t speak Italian.

Pizzas were excellent, pasta was good, but just not to my taste I would’ve ordered a different sauce if I thought about it some more.

The restaurant was very busy with locals on a Wednesday night and the restaurant itself was reserved so we had to sit outside. For those visiting Europe, specifically Sicily, for the first time remember that there’s no smoking indoors so everybody comes outside to smoke. That’s just a fact here.

Three pizzas, one pasta and one salad and two bottles of water of good quality and very enjoyable food cost us a pretty average amount for a family of five dining out.

Seated fee was 2,50 euros, which is lower than some of the tourist towns...

Esperienza deludente, oltre ogni aspettativa negativa

Prenotiamo con animazione per i bambini quindi ci accomodiamo nella sala superiore, dove abbiamo vissuto un'esperienza a dir poco disastrosa. Sorvoliamo sull illuminazione della sala e sul fatto che non si poteva scambiare una parola senza urlare, comprendiamo anche il fatto che fosse sabato, ma questo non giustifica la mancanza totale di organizzazione e qualità, specialmente considerando i prezzi richiesti che sono ben felice di pagare quando ottengo un servizio adeguato che purtroppo non c'è stato. Personale insufficiente per gestire la mole di clienti: lunghi tempi d'attesa che non discuto in quanto sabato ma poca attenzione ai clienti un solo cameriere in sala non può fare miracoli. Bambini lasciati a vagare senza alcun controllo spesso dovevo recuperare il bambino nella sala accanto, tanto valeva tenerlo al tavolo come faccio di solito, mi aspettavo sinceramente di più. Il cibo è arrivato freddo, panini freddi e una pasta da 18 euro che di buono aveva solo le aspettative arrivata collosa molto probabilmente nell attesa di essere servita. Il nostro cibo è stato portato via senza nemmeno chiedere, nell alzarci a controllare i bambini due pizze sono state portate via alla velocità della luce senza uno straccio di scuse quando lo abbiamo fatto notare. Pizza del bambino sbagliata, servita dopo Mezz'ora alle 22:40, quando ormai la fame era svanita. Tovagliolini praticamente assenti: sembravano essersi persi per strada nonostante le richieste. Birre diverse rispetto le richieste che abbiamo tenuto per non appesantire il povero cameriere che si districava in sala. Visto il rovinoso svolgersi della serata abbiamo desistito per il dessert che i bambini poi hanno preso fuori. Al momento del conto, richiesto direttamente in cassa visto che eravamo ormai abbandonati a noi stessi, se non mi fossi accorto che non erano stati addebitati i menù dei bambini saremmo andati via passando per i furbi della situazione, difatti ci è stato fatto un altro scontrino. Pagare un conto salato per un servizio del genere è inaccettabile. Il sabato non può essere una scusa: se si ha un ristorante, si deve essere in grado di gestire il carico di lavoro senza compromettere la qualità del servizio e delle pietanze. In sintesi: esperienza pessima e non consigliata, salvo che non vogliate pagare caro per un disservizio totale facendo una magra figura con gli amici a cui avevate descritto un locale tra i migliori in città totalente opposto a quello che poi si è presentato con la triste consapevolezza di avergli rovinato il...
