Took a cooking class. I would give them a 100 stars if I could. What an AMAZING experience. Giovanni, Paolo and Luca were beyond gracious, charming, engaging and super fun. We prepared homemade pasta, fish, eggplant parmigiana, stuffed zucchini and an anchovy dish. In between preparations, we had unlimited white and red wine and a beautiful charcuterie plate. The day started in the kitchen where Giovanni walked us through how to prepare their beautiful sauce. They then showed us how to prepare all the various dishes in such a fun and pleasant way. Don't expect nice atmosphere or top service or a view. This place is serving port workers. So let's just talk food. This is a Self Service Cantine that offers cold dishes and made to order warm pasta and grill dishes.

I had a really good hearty portion pasta with mussels and was really happy with the texture of al dante spaghetti (without it being raw pasta) and creamy texture of the sauce/pasta water. The mussels were fresh, perfectly cooked and juicy.

When I just came in, I thought it’s a bakery and various cooked food for take out. However you can dine in here with freshly made dishes. We ordered Arancini, Pesce Spada alla Ghiotta, Frittura di pesce and cozze, come with sour dough bread, local Messina bra and white wine.
