I have to admit that at first, this place seems really cliche, liked really big Chinese wannabe restaurant. But after experiencing it. I have to say this place is one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. The menu here is unique to other Chinese restaurants in town. I could find some dishes that I've never seen in Milan but back in my hometown. The place gives me the same vibe as an old traditional Chinese restaurant
They serve Dim Sum, small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets, the dumpling is a subset of Dim Sum. Anyway, it's delicious!! Again the list of their Dim Sum is so unique, not just streamed or grilled dumpling liked the other. (The menu has pictures so you would not lose in translation).
The place is too big. That makes it's always half empty, which is great (for me, not the restaurant), because if I want to meet friends calmly and chat with a nice dinner. This is the place.
*Important! Til now if you book with "The Folk." They give you a 20% discount! I made a mistake the first time without knowing this. Hopefully, they keep this...
Read moreEDIT: now the restaurant has reopened after several months it was closed. It is no longer an all you can eat buffet, but a Chinese restaurant providing authentic Chinese experience. They have also hotpot and to be honest, it was one of the most delicious hotpots eaten in Milan. Friendly staff. 5 stars remain confirmed.
PAST REVIEW: Really nice and upscale place but with cheap buffet prices (especially at lunch). There are Italian and Chinese food, but also some sushi pieces. Buffet is very big and food was good (obviously, especially due to the big amount of food, you cannot expect the same quality of freshly cooked dishes, but food was still great). Nice to have discovered this cozy place near...
Read morethe restaurant must've changed owners recently. until a few months ago they had a cantonese chef and very high quality food. now the dishes are quite poor especially considering the price they ask for. the staff is also highly unprofessional, we asked for a waitress to take away a dish of leftovers and she mumbled something along the lines of "it's not full enough", turned around and left. such a pity because it was one of the best chinese restaurants in the city with great food and superb ambience. now nothing's left but lousiness. just go to any other restaurant in chinatown and you'll get the same level of food and service at a much...
